I have an " Astro Blaster " 1981 Gremlin/Sega, The fire button works most of the time , but will not fire later in the game, at around five minutes. Is this a malfunction of the game play or is it something else? I am not even a novice when it comes to classic arcade games, so I need a lot of helpful hints and instruction on this matter. Please help me if you can. Thank you. Matt
I have a Metal Slug X Cab and top part of back pops right off, but bottom looks like its nailed in or something, didnt see any screws or a lock door. Anyone know how to take back off?
@xavius000 Some arcade cabinets cannot be opened from the back. The top part that you popped off is there so you can gain access to the monitor. Cabinets like this usually have the parts mounted to a shelf that's attached to the control panel. If you open up the control panel, you might see some latches on either side holding the shelf in place. Undo those latches to pull the shelf out so you can work on the game. Please listen to episode 21 of our podcast for more thoughts on your question.
We agree with MrAnimeGuru. The JAMMA pinouts and kick harness are the same between CPS-2 games. This means that it's pretty much a plug-and-play swap of the A board to get it working.
We have also featured your question on episode 6 of our Q&A podcast. Please listen to it for more of our thoughts on your question. Thank you for your question and stay tuned for more videos and podcasts.
Love the videos. They really help a novice like me. How do you swap out the CPS 2 from one game to another? If I were to buy a common Capcom fighting game cabinet and install the game board from Alien vs Predator by Capcom would it be difficult? thanks again man
Your videos kick ass. Thank you.
