I think COD: Modern Warfare 2 is the best because they refined and improved a lot from what they learned of COD4 and it got some weapons that I really like (UMP45 is my baby! :D). COD4: Modern Warfare is my second best, but I totally agree with you about that the perks, killstreaks etc. is overrated. I recently played COD4 today and yesterday and I'm still loving it, it actually shocked me that it was running in 60FPS on ps3, I didn't remember that lol

This video says it all. Same thing happened with Xbox Live when they added party chat. No one wants to communicate anymore. I remember back before they added Party chat, everyone would talk & make new friends. Now its either your in a party or you have no one to talk too. Cod4 was & will always be the best Cod. It had the perfect formula. I know MW3 is going to be good, but it's no Cod4.

Call of Duty 2 or World at War had the best campaign in my opinion (they're utter balls now) and this easily has the best multiplayer. Not a perfect game but I feel it's the best in the pure simplicity of the killstreak system - that they later ruined - and in terms of balance. Some things kind of screw up the balance - nuclear grenades, M16, a few perks, etc. - but it's otherwise fine. Series is so fucked now. Been playing it since the first game and it amazes me how bad it now is.

Black Ops was boring because the maps were crap, guns were crap, and the graphics were crap. People don't think graphics are *that important.
