ins is truly a great mod, better than hl2 the whole game even. this my 2nd favorite game i play. 1st favorite is "project reality" (PR) mod for battlefield 2. fans of insurgency mod should definatley check out PR because its all about being realistic military shooter.

@conijoo i didnt know bf2 was on steam. i really dont know. you'd have to look into it further at steam. bf2 retail cd key price for project reality is more than worth it though if you like 64 players, vehicles, multiplayer military shooter games

well, when it comes to teamwork yes, but still i've been playing pr for many years, and this is more realistic, in pr you cant hit shit unless you wait 6 seconds when going prone and aiming down your sights all in the same time, a kid could do better, not trained soldiers

yeah before you play the game you need a security back ground check, interview with a recruiting officer and an application waiting time of 1 year also you need to be a fit male who goes running every day and can do at least 20 pressups!

Do you have a video comparison? From what I know... exmilitary INS is closer to realism. Sure it could use a bigger budget but other than that... Its got a more real feel than the arcade style of BF2.

I would like to see a good video comparison. Including battle scenes and teamplay on a given pub night.

Concerning the shooting aspect : (iron sights, animations, textures modelling (weapons)), Insurgency is better than OFP-Arma.

These one are more geared to global simulation.

Actually i have. I own Operation Flashpoint Cold war crisis, and i have played Armed Assault. Seen red orchestra but never played it.

But i still like the feel of Insurgency. But it does lack the vatical aspect of gameplay which ArmA and Operation Flashpoint excel in.

In CoD4, run and gun is the name of the game. Regardless of whether or not it's hardcore, it's rng. Here, you don't spam grenades because you have unlimited spawns, you use them as one might in a combat situation...to root out enemies that are behind cover.
