It's got a plastic tube in the middle, and it's wrapped with foam. They are actually pretty sturdy, my friend's and I fight with them sometimes in the Wal-mart toy department.

These swords are actually made to block bullets. Nerf knew that would be an epic fail, since most little kids aren't ninjas, so they just left it as a sword.

Actually, that looks a little bit too much for kids. As a product trying to succeed in the world of kids toys, this doesn't look like the best of choices and for obvious reasons. Doesn't mean it isn't funny tho'. ;)

These swords are actually really well made. Ive had mine for awhile now with no problems at all, tons of hours of sword fighting entertainment. All i can say is these are freaking AWESOME!!!

...God, I gotta ask when did Nerf guns turn into something so stupid? When I was a kid, you had a Nerf gun, you cocked the hammer back, pulled the trigger, and shot a dart out. Then all your friends got one, and you'd play around the neighborhood. Now, theres a sniper, a minigun, an uzi, and swords. What happened people? Does this mean their going back in the weaponry timeline? Is there going to be a nerf crossbow? Or a Nerf catapult? where does it end?

and if you in a battle with someone with a gun and you just have a sword itll always be like indian jones the gun will win so try making somthing for the person with the sword so that wont happen
