  • Omg, your routine was just like mine.. I've recently got off hydrocortisone because I've been using it for too long and it has terrible side affects. I'm switching to just using Virgin Coconut Oil, you should check it out, I hear amazing things, and I'm hoping this is what is going to work. You should stop using Steroid creams, they're so bad!

  • @xxTheCatsMeow I actually don't use a lot of the things I used in here any more... I have an updated video, but my computer crashed :\ hopefully I can upload it soon though. Steroid creams are horrible, but unfortunately doctor's will prescribe them for horrible breakouts. I actually have organic coconut oil right now, I use it in my hair, I tried it on my skin a few times and I didn't really notice a difference, maybe I didn't try it long enough, I'll try it again one day!

  • I have eczema on my lip like you too, it's one of the most irritating places to get it.

  • @xxTheCatsMeow it def is the most irritating thing ever!!!

  • try evening primrose oil(月見草油)

  • @oiltment I will look into it :) thanks

  • whats your opinion on antihistamines??

  • @jimmybarrinhio I personally use antihistamines as a rescue aid when I'm having an allergic reaction. I'm allergic to peanuts, walnuts, pecans, etc... so if I accidentally come into contact with those I will use an over the counter antihistamine like Benadryl... Benadryl is also helpful in suppressing the itching sensation one gets when dealing with eczema.

  • Ok, its winter here now and a red patch on my face has started to show.. its dry and it seems to not be going away. its not a solid patch its kind of blotchy but its still noticeably red. Could this be eczema? If so, iv'e been using some coconut oil on it and it seems to be improving but idk. can someone tell me if its eczema or do i just have dry skin because of the weather. Thanks!

  • @LTD0Mitch It could be, but I can't give you a definite answer. If it's possible and /or convenient for you, I advise you go to a dermatologist and find out exactly what it is. Extra lubrication of the skin is important in winter. Try some Eucerin for extra moisture. Hope that helps some. :)

  • @graybabee Yea ok. It happened after i clean shaved so. It could be dry skin but we'll see!

  • i had it on my lip like you . ask for pro-topic immunosuppressant ointment . it works trust

  • I've had severe eczema all my life. The only product that helped me besides the medication from the dermatologist is Shea butter and castor oil mixed together. This mix stops my itching and irritation and I no longer have to use the medication.

  • vaseline, i have a lot of them. it doesnt work that well for me though.

  • @HoshinaUtau100 think of Vaseline as more of wall... if you use a moisturizer then put Vaseline over it at night before you go to sleep, it should help lock in the moisture... hope that helps :)

  • @graybabee woah, thanks!!

  • @HoshinaUtau100 no problem :) I hope it works for you!

  • @HoshinaUtau100 but remember not to use too much because you don't want it to clog your pores or your hair follicles and their roots.

  • you should look up this guy dontdropthatshit on youtube he takes you on a journey to a natural cure of eczema and tells us how doctors are scams they just want your money if they cured you then you wouldn't have to come back check him out i also have been suffering from eczema for 20+ years and know lotion, creams and most moisturizers do nothing but damage your skin and basically make your skin addicted i know it sounds crazy but think about it i will too no mere hydrocortisone for me

  • @goldeelocs252 doesn't sound crazy at all, makes a lot of sense... I'm so fed up with doctors!!! I just had a crazy episode with my skin and the doctors just gave me meds that made me have other issues... I will check him out... thanks for your input

  • Good to see your upbeat having this shit. I've been moody and frustrated lately but on a new regimine thats working pretty good. Sorry but you can use all these topicals all you want but your not getting to the root of the problem internally.

  • @ae86miami Exactly right. Which is why I plan to make an appointment with an allergist asap and also a naturalist. Trust me, I have my horrible days... like these past few days have been horrible... I'm actually going to the doctor's tomorrow :\ hope your regimen continues to work for you.

  • Honey plz dont use anything with sodium laureth sulfate as it is a detergent and dries the skin, and yes its in aveeno body wash. Eucerin is fantastic as a moisturizer but you should use it after showering but while your skin is still damp as it locks moisture in. i would recommend (if you can buy it in the states) tacrolimus as it's very strong but doesn't thin the skin like steroids. Also if possible avoid oranges and cows milk for 2weeks and see if it helps xxx

  • @mssobriety1 I don't use Aveeno body wash anymore... I'm looking for a soap that is healthy for my skin now...a lot of what I use has changed since this video... as soon as I get my computer up and running I'm going to make a part 2 to this video... since I and my skin have been through A LOT since this vid... so what's the significance with oranges and milk?!

  • @graybabee I find that lush cosmetics are great for eczema/dry skin. Shea butter and coconut oil in raw form work best to stop skin drying out and it isn't as heavy as vaseline plus full of nutrients that the skin needs to repair it's self.

  • @graybabee I have had severe eczema all my life and it stayed bad until i cut out food that irritated my skin, certain digestive enzymes in oranges can irritate eczema and it just occurred to me that seeing as it's predominately around your mouth in this video it maybe an allergy. The most common food triggers for eczema are eggs, milk, peanuts, soy, and wheat although mine include oranges and tomatoes. Putting oats in the bath help relieve the heat/itch :) Allergy testing changed my life GL x

  • @mssobriety1 Yes, I am looking to make an appointment with an allergist asap!!! I am allergic to nuts, which is what caused me to stop using Aveeno, a lot of products have almond extract in it :\ so yea, I dreadfully look forward to finding out if there are any other allergies I have. I always say I should live in a bubble because I'm so sensitive to everything (pet fur, pollen, dust, cigarette smoke) ugh it sucks! Thanks for your advice!!!

  • I see the redness around the mouth... Does that get itchy? I'm wondering cause my mouth looks like that too and it gets SO itchy and burning... And my hands are also really itchy.. I get the little rashes all over my fingers...

  • @Javier32101 yesss it gets SO itchy! I hate it! it does burn too! I have a few rashes on my hands and fingers right now... ugh, I truly hate it... I'm thinking about going to see a naturalist soon!

  • @graybabee When i finally got really tired of having it I went to the doctor and they gave me some Triamcinolone Acetonide and it worked really good, but it still comes back every now and then... I would recommend just going to the doctor, and lots of chapstick too, it really helps that area too.

  • @Javier32101 I've been to plenty of Dermatologists &unfortunately there is no official cure so they only will give medicines that will subside the issue for a little bit... they have given me everything from triamcinolone to desonide to fluocinonide. They all work for a little until the eczema almost becomes immune to it & a lot of these creams are topical steroids which are not that healthy for skin, they can cause acne and most crucially, they thin the skin... I want a naturalist!

  • I used to think I was the only one with eczema lol I used to use aveeno but now I use vaseline moisture lotion without any scent and vaseline jelly to put on my dry patches. I use regular neutrogena for my face and olay original cream and dove soap for my body! I also use polysporin and my cream from the doctors when it gets really bad. colder showers! I find this helps with itching! hot showers make my skin so itchy and dry! Thanks so much for this video. I know I'm not alone <3

  • @Smil3GiggleLov3 no, you are def not alone! Thanks for sharing what you use! :) I may need to go to the doctors tomorrow for mine, it's having a bad out break... I'm flared up! I hope yours gets better!!

  • thanks for the video. i HATE eczema :( it has flared up on my neck and its so itchy right now :( im going to buy aveno tommorow, i hope it works well for me too.

right now im using dermol bath oil and dermol lotion. moisturises your skin and the lotion stops the itch. but i still itch. sometimes i use johnsons baby oil too i find that useful.

i dislike going to bed because thats when i start to itch badly and i lose sleep. so i need to find something good to stop the itch. SOO frustrating.

  • @maadheaad ugh, I know the itching sucks!!! I'm going through it really bad right now!!! Something set my skin off! I am not happy right now! Lol... but, I hope you find something that works for you, before you try anything new, make sure to read the ingredients and do a test spot on your hands or forearm and wait over night to see if you have any reaction ok? As far as washes, the more natural the soap, the better... hope that helps! :) Wish you luck!

  • @graybabee Aww me and u both girl.. and when it scars you its awful. :( thank you very much :) x

  • @graybabee

do you know that you are sweet and cuddly ? : )

a girl like you don't need to wear makeup full time ; )

  • @ukgreaterlondon aww thanks :)!!! I don't really wear make up... just eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss sometimes ...

  • @graybabee

do you wear makeup to cause males to fancy you or do you wear makeup because it is a hobby like drawing pictures on paper is also a hobby ? : )

you must be artistic to know how people can see you in a correct way wearing makeup on your face ? : )

  • @ukgreaterlondon I wear the eye liner and mascara because I personally like the way it looks... not for men, it is like art you know, it bring out certain features in your face. but I would never wear foundation and blush and all those other types of makeup because one, I don't like it and 2 it's not good for your skin.

  • I just noticed you and me have so many of the same products! I have the body wash, the vaseline, the Aveeno hand creams. And I have a lot of Aveeno hand creams. ^.^

  • @MelodiaSeira yes, hand creams are super important to have... because we constantly wash our hands and that of course is stripping away the natural oils and moisture that our bodies produce... so high five!!! :)

  • @MelodiaSeira

Just curious, the Aveeno body wash says that it has no soap in it...does it really clean you than?? Like does it kill all the germs?

  • @MelodiaSeira you know what, I actually don't use the Aveeno soap any more, I decided to really look into the ingredients... I found out it had almond extract in it and I'm allergic to nuts, so I don't even use it anymore, I'm not sure how well it cleans, because I use multiple soaps. I stopped using Aveeno soap completely... I use eucerin's natural oil soap and natural African Black soap now. I'm sorry I couldn't really answer your question, but I hope what I said helps :)

  • Try CeraVe

  • The problem with Aveno products is that one of the main ingredients is cetyl alcohol which is very bad for drying skin. Most hand creams are full of alcohol and water and in fact worsen the problem. Hand sanitizer is nothing but alcohol! Try the new AQUAPHOR healing ointment from Eucerin it is way better. Also try tea tree oil and coconut oil and use only dove fragrance free soaps or natural soap.

  • @gagehaze yes, I've tried Aquaphor before, I have it now and it's ok, I've tried many products, I just tend to stick with the ones that do best for my skin. Unfortunately a lot of products have alcohol and dif things, also a lot of products have almond oil, which I'm allergic to, so I just have to work with what works with me. I use black soap sometimes and a lot of oils, but I've never tried tea tree oil, I may give it a try.

  • @graybabeeI agree with you all da way! I love Aveeno I've been using it all my life. I've had excema for a long long time! I liked to watch your video because I feel alot better when I know I'm not the only one. :)

  • @sushicity123 Awesome! This is exactly why I made the vid, so I can let others know they're not alone! I know how tough it can be and how isolated one may feel when dealing with something like this. Just know, I'm here with ya, dealing with the same issues! :)

  • I have been dealing with eczema and dry sensitive skin for years. I went to the dermatologist and was told to buy AmLactin moisturizing body lotion for when I brake out in dry patches. I was also told to buy CeraVe moisturizing cream to maintain my skin. For my bath I use cetaphil daily facial cleanser and a oatmeal fragrance free body wash. I hope this helps!

  • @tcbecrazy thanks :) I'm trying to find new things because it seems my skin becomes too used to some of my treatments, and they begin to fail because of that.

  • @graybabee

have you looked in a ladies magazine for these creams ? is there an area that tells you about them all in one story ?

  • @ukgreaterlondon the items in this video?

  • @graybabee

yes the items in this video .

have you ever shown the western doctor your eczema ?

  • @ukgreaterlondon no, I found out about these items myself or through a doctor, and who is the western doctor?

  • @graybabee

there is two or maybe more than two doctors . the western doctor is just the ordinary doctor people visit .

have you or do you have friends who have tried the chinese herbalist , the shop window always has a list of health troubles that can be taken away from us and one is eczema .

  • @ukgreaterlondon Oh, Ok thanks for teaching me something new :)

and no, I've never tried the Chinese herbalist... maybe I should look into that!

    Thanks for your help

  • @graybabee

i hope your eczema is gone after 6 months : )

  • @ukgreaterlondon do you know how awesome that would be?!

  • @graybabee

completely awseome . do you have any chinese herbalist in your town ?

  • @ukgreaterlondon I'm really not sure, I'll have to look it up... should I just google it?!

  • Thanks for the video, I might try some of the things you use! :)

By the way, I'm in the UK where healthcare is free, I wanted to tell you they honestly cant recommend much for eczema. They can only give you creams that you would normally have to buy on prescription and do patch tests to check if you are allergic to anything. Other than that, they just tell you that there is no cure and suggest finding the right creams by yourself.

  • @darklugia7 You're welcome, and yea I actually want to kind some natural remedies... thanks for your input :)

  • Great Job you did.

  • @EenterE Thank you :)

  • I gotta try some of those out!

  • @sweetgirl94949 yea try it out, let me know how it works for you! :)

  • @sweetgirl94949 by the way I'm thinking of doing an Eczema FAQ (frequently asked questions) video, would you be interested in that?

  • @graybabee sorry accedently sent it on brothers account :) anyways yees ! my eczema is getting soo bad right now its crazy its different too usually its just itchy dry skin now its like pimples that have clear liquid commin out of them its wierd! have u ever gotten what im gettin right now?

  • @sweetgirl94949 eczema can be such a pain in the butt! do the pimples hurt? and are they more like lumps or boils? or really like pimples? if not too personal, can you tell me where they are located? if it's too personal I understand.

  • @graybabee hahaha no i dont mind its actually like on my face. its so wierd i cant really describe them cause i dont know how LOL but i went to the doctor and she didnt even look at it and shes like oh its just a reaction and im like this isnt usually what happens but yeah i hate doctors lol they do hurt a bit too

  • @sweetgirl94949 omgsh, doctors get on my nerves too... I hate when they dismiss things and then don't even explain what is going on... it probably is a reaction to something tho... have you tried a new product? maybe your skin is trying to reject the product so it's breaking out into bumps...

  • @sweetgirl94949 I actually have those same bumps you're talking about now!!!

  • @DkPcBgOtTaLuvEm yess, it is a lot!!! and behind my ear is a heart made of the treble clef and the bass clef!!! <3
