@JayLong1985 i'm 15 and my push up routine is 60 perfect normal push ups 2 min rest then 30 perfect push ups rest for 1 min then finally 15 perfect push ups. then at night 20 perfect push ups - 5 reps each and in between 45 - 60 sec rest.
@JayLong1985 Don't take me wrong I am not trying to insult you or anything, it is just some constructive criticism. You need to stress the muscles that you are working out for the best benefit and to do that you need to take it slower. That means it should be 1-2 secs down, 1 sec pause, then 1-2 secs back up. If you keep the target muscles under stress for a longer time, they will build up better and faster.
I think results depends on your diet, genetics, consistency, form etc. I noticed increased mass in my triceps from doing pushups, but back then, perhaps I was not concentrating on using the chest muscles as I do nowadays. You can also use a weighted vest if other techniques are no longer challenging enough.

I'm 18 and I've been wrestling (freestyle) my whole life at the 189 lbs. level. Pushups are a staple in our daily workout routines along with sparring and cardio. I'm just saying that yes, he is quite buff. Yet eventually his body (muscles) will adapt to that workout routine, If he were to slow it down to 1sec. up and 1sec down his body will encounter a, "whoa! we don't want to experience this" moment and build muscle upon muscle.
oh crap...i can do only like 40 push ups nonstop before my hands become too weak to lift me up... Any advices? - i mean i would like to be able to do at least 50 push ups nonstop, maybe even 100.. I mean, i can't get past 40... i'm doing this for several weeks, but can't get past 40...what's wrong with me?

For me it's easier to do that many pushups if I trick myself into thinking do less. What I mean by this is that I count to 15 and then start counting again. This doesn't mean stop doing pushups, it simply means instead of going to 16, go back to 1. I count to fifteen like 4 times and for some reason its easier than counting to 60. In your case, start out by counting to 15 three times and then cound to 5. When the 5 are left, you will be like, "Fuck it, there's only five left!"

nice routine - im w/montove. rest up - i bet if you alternate crunches dips chinups and pushups you'll get way better improvements. check out my pushup vid to.

Big Muscles! But be-careful how much you do this... When you work out your muscles your creating small tears in them you must let them heal... When they heal they get bigger. So you HAVE to give 'em time to heal or your actually gonna get weaker.. Great routine! Imma use this!

There is no flaws in this. the faster he conduct the pushups,
the less time your arm muscles spend undergoing eccentric contraction.
it reduces 'wastage' of energy, so the total number of
pushups is maximised. Great morning routine!

I'm 18 and I've been wrestling (freestyle) my whole life at the 189 lbs. level. Pushups are a staple in our daily workout routines along with sparring and cardio. I'm just saying that yes, he is quite buff. Yet eventually his body (muscles) will adapt to that workout routine, If he were to slow it down to 1sec. up and 1sec down his body will encounter a, "whoa! we don't want to experience this" moment and build muscle upon muscle.

Well, if you've been to school for more than year, you would know that (10*2 + 10*2 + 10)*10 is 500
he does 20 regular, 20 wide ones and 10 narrow.

oh crap...i can do only like 40 push ups nonstop before my hands become too weak to lift me up... Any advices? - i mean i would like to be able to do at least 50 push ups nonstop, maybe even 100.. I mean, i can't get past 40... i'm doing this for several weeks, but can't get past 40...what's wrong with me?
although when i started i could barely do 5 push ups :D... but still, i want more! Just in case my age matters - i'm 16 o_O...

For me it's easier to do that many pushups if I trick myself into thinking do less. What I mean by this is that I count to 15 and then start counting again. This doesn't mean stop doing pushups, it simply means instead of going to 16, go back to 1. I count to fifteen like 4 times and for some reason its easier than counting to 60. In your case, start out by counting to 15 three times and then cound to 5. When the 5 are left, you will be like, "Fuck it, there's only five left!"
