Dr. King also fought on behalf of the poor, and labor unions, which Beck attributes to communism and socialism. In fact, Dr. King and the SCLC were on the radar of the House Un-American Activities Commitee, because that commitee, like Beck, saw communist connections in every activity for civil rights and unions. In fact one of Kings final speeches was in support of union workers on strike. I think had Beck and Dr. King been of the same generation, Beck would not speak favorably of him.

Al Sharpton was really for civil rights and what MLK preached about not the color of one's skin but the content of one's character,then he and other "civil rights" leaders should have worked with the 828 rally, and REALLY brought people together. Alveda King (MLK's niece) is speaking at this rally and approves of what this rally is about.
