  • Al sharpton sounded the smartest ive ever heard him. Glenn beck is probaly the biggest dumbest piece of trash ever given a radio or TV show the man spews pure shit and for some crazy reason some americans eat it up it's truly disgusting.

  • Obama is a socialist. He took over the automobile, mortgage, banking, and health care industries via legislation and regulation. Govt is expected to own 70% up from 19% in 2008.

. He stated that the tragedies of the civil rights movement was that the Supreme Court didn’t bring about redistributive change. watch?v=Sj4yIE9Dd90 He told Joe the Plumber in 2008, that he wanted to spread the wealth around. watch?v=PUvwKVvp3-o

  • Al Sharpton believes that a vote for Obama was a vote for socialism. watch?v=KCpINI5aVy0 Al Sharpton wants to share the wealth. “Al Sharpton: We Won't Have True Social Justice Until Everything is Equal in Everybody's House” watch?v=95bcEb1rV18

    .

Sharpton should start by giving up his $5 million (from celebrity net worth com) It’s also worth noting Hilter was a socialist that seemed to follow the Communist Manifesto.

    .

    Allen West 2012

  • @Angellicationify Oh ya that's exactly why the first people Hitler executed during the holocaust were socialists and communists.

  • Wow! I'm sure Glen's speech sounded great to himself, but god damn he sounded like an ignorant douche. He should probably explain himself in very PLAIN language and not take the approach he did.

  • Olberman's a liberal POS.

  • 2 idiots talking to each other.

  • It's crazy how people fire off their feelings in the comments here instead of reasoning. Glenn Beck is exactly right. So many people nowadays use MLK's name but slander what he did, and that is shameful. Black people cannot simultaneously be both special and not special. It's a logical fallacy. The only fair solution is obvious: no special concessions (racism), and full rights (equality). Screw these media framers: "is he wrong, or is he wrong?" Stop running the maze like lab rats, people.

  • lets see there is a United Black College Found, which of course supports black people in need ,which make me wonder what you happen if there is a United White College Found ? that supports only white people in need ,is or would that be racist ? i bet there would be an outcry from Al Sharton and alikes .

  • Glenn Beck is a dizzy dick!

  • Al Sharpton is nothing but a race pimp, instead of preaching the word of the Lord, he's crying nothing but racism all the time. Him and his people don't own a damn thing.

  • Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr was NOT for abortion, NOT for ANY rights based on your sexual turn ons especially gay's marrying and adopting children., NOT for socialism nor Communism, NOT for the concept of "social justice"- King rallied against these things.

  • Black people do own Martin Luther King but we not sharing him with the devil like Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin.

  • @CerromeX um

    Nobody owns anybody.

  • I disagree with Al on somethings but he is right on imo on this get em rev......

  • Those people at that rally dont care about MLK Jr what he stood for and could care less about blacks or the civil rights. The right wing of this nation has stood in the way of black people since this nation that began.

  • @thecaliforniaknight Is this why republicans were for emancipation and why they consistently vote for treating people equally under the law? Yes, that means that conservative folk are generally not for giving people things based on their race taking things based on their race. Also, don't fall into the left wing/right wing paradime that you've had framed for you. Both parties have their problems, but that's a whole other rant.

  • Olbermann should have gone to the event so that he would have some remote idea of what he is addressing. I can't believe that anyone actually tunes in to this nut case.

  • @clintsequipment No sir, I'd rather tune to FOX for my corporate injected spin. Nonsense.

  • @clintsequipment Many of us say exactly the same thing about people tuning in to nutty Beck.

  • Standon contrary to the blasphemous LIES of the right we do NOT "hate religious people" many of us are liberal BECAUSE of our faith. When you insult that faith by calling greed and hate "Christian" you earn righteous anger. Dont want to be called racist and dumb? NOT falling for thus lie that Obama is Muslim would be a start.

  • I have a dream that one day liberals will stop hating people that are religious and Christian. We have our beliefs and in a free country we have the right to express those beliefs just like anybody else. Going around yelling about how dumb we are, insulting us, calling us racists, is not doing anything good for this country except showing the people how hateful and intolerant you liberals are. Grow up and show your fellow Americans some respect. Even if you disagree with them.

  • @Standonarock

I have a dream that one day liberals will stop hating people that are religious and Christian.

I know Im sick of all those liberals protesting the people for wanting to build that Muslim cultural center in New York City.

  • That charlatan Al Sharpton does'nt own that hoilday, he's nobody to be claiming to own any holiday.

  • @TheWarlordAres I am pretty sure King stated that he wanted people to be treated equal regardless of color, not specifically black people being catered to because their ancestors were slaves. Which is the case in this country. Enjoy your free jobs and college black people! I wish I was black, I wouldn't have these rediculous student loans.

  • Comment removed

  • @guninthewater I would but then there would be less people that were correct in the world. I didn't say anything that wasn't 100 percent true. Affirmative action much?

  • @Intotheorchard Huh?

  • @Intotheorchard

Dont blame black people for the fact that you cant get up and search for a schloraship. There are roughly 4-5 billion dollars in unused scolarships a year.

  • @Intotheorchard idiot.

  • these peope are are a joke for real Genn Beck is a loser Pain is a loser....And this is why people in Outside of this Country think Americans are stupid...its sad...

  • Republicans and Teabaggers are trying to claim MLK was one of their own yet they disagree with most of MLK's actual views.

    MLK believed in:

    -Hate crime laws

    -Government regulation of Big Industry

    -A living wage

-Was opposed to the Vietnam War and called it "imperialist"

-Mobilization of the poor and working class together with the middle class to fight for more unionization

-In the last several years of his life became a Christian socialist

Yeah, they're real kindred spirits to him. (sarcasm)

  • Al...our beloved Dr King spoke his wisdom to all and his dream has come to fruition. He gave his life to bring change and common respect. Black Americans ARE equal, honorable and their wisdom helps guide our country today. Black or white we are above your outdated rhetoric. As a white woman I have felt left out of MLK history all my life, but now I know he was speaking to me also. Al, your message was useful at one time, you've worked long & hard, now go and enjoy your grandkids and relax.

  • they're against big government but are 100% behind the biggest government welfare project on the planet: the US military.

  • sharpton occasionally pwns. good on him.

  • There is nowhere in Martin Luther King's "I have a dream" speech that says anything about bigger government. Al Sharpton is a liar and more of a racist than anyone ive seen.

  • @krbkrbk Well, what do you expect ... do you think the guy could actually hold a normal job? Jackson, Sharpton ... they all need King to try and keep afloat their incomes.

  • Triple posting. whoops. lmao Apologies Moxy, I was trying to correct the post and hit cancel YT's cancel button doesn't work, lol. Ahh its all good now ;-)

  • The "We" that I think Beck is referring to is those who believe in God. He's not at all saying that white people own the civil rights movement. Al and Keith are completely missing the boat here (as usual). Left wing zombie nut job spin once again.

  • Quite honestly , i have had so many debates with you tea baggin idiots, that I'm exhausted lol I'd be better off bangin my head against the wall lol.

  • @WolfArden44 Go ahead and bang your head all you want on that wall and you might get some sense knocked into it.

  • I don't get why progressives think it is so American to force people to universal health care and bigger government. There must be something wrong with them!

  • Blacks dont own Martin Luther King. Martin Luther kings speech was about all races coming together in brotherhood, Would his words mean less if it were spanish people being discriminated against? Martin Luther King sought freedom and happiness for all, not just for the blacks. We are all brothers and sisters, we share this planet with each other, we share history together. Dont let petty differences destroy a great man's dream.

  • Beck and Sharpton... Two masters of their own respective IRRELEVANT universe.

  • I love and admire both of you! Thanks to you two and others like you,we the people are able to discern the truth ,from the lies of our bigoted fuctards from the right!

  • MLKjr > Beck > Sharpton > .... whats his face.

  • How is it that 1140Cecile has one of the highest rated comments for "Teabaggers are funny little angry people?" Really? Are you in 3rd grade Cecile?

What you fail to understand is that the freedom we are trying to uphold is the same freedom you enjoy everyday. We are fighting for you as well, are you to ignorant to understand that?

Your lack of understand is probably directly proportional to your lack of historical knowledge. Look up the "Tytler cycle" and get back to me.

  • Wow, this is "journalism" at it's finest. They ONLY PLAY the comment about "blacks not owning Martin Luther King."

I HEARD that radio show and the whole comment is:

    Whites don't own Abraham Lincoln

Blacks don't own Martin Luther King

It's an ideology and heritage that is uniquely American and that belongs to ALL OF US!!!

You libs are the ones promoting this class warfare but that's no suprise, it's right out of "Rules for Radicals."

Go crazy somewhere else, where all full up here.

  • @T2003Cubs Tell ya what, what don't ya take a world culture class and read the encyclopedia of world history, instead of gaining your info from a psychopath on the radio. lol Practice a little critical thinking while your at it as well. lol.

  • @WolfArden44

A world culture class? Why would I be concerned about world culture when I am focusing on this country? Also, an education doesn't make you intelligent; intelligent people tend to get education. Big difference. I don't need some indoctrinating professor passing opinion off as fact.

  • Mr. Keith Olbermann, it's people like you and Al Sharpton that keep America divided distorting the truth. I'm a democrat and listen to Glenn Beck and from what I hear he tells more truth than all the other media outlets put together. Glenn Beck is trying to get people together of every race. You two are taking what Glenn Beck is trying to do and taking things out of context. I think the MLK speech was to bring people together, not tell lies and divide. MLK was a true man of God.

  • the "We" Glenn Beck is refering to is the American People as a whole. MLK was an American that rose up for civil rights, Beck is doing the same thing. If you watch Glenn Beck, if you have been following his show, he has even been incorporating Black history in his history lessons. "We" is inclusive and embracing what MLK was talking about when he was talking about children of different ethnic background walking hand in hand on the same path.

  • @Hcirteid None of these people have listened to anything "Beck" other then what Oberman puts on his show. These leftists need a reason to bitch, this is the flavor of the week.

  • Whoa. When did Al Sharpton become reasonable and well-spoken? (I haven't seen him in awhile.)

  • Dr. King also fought on behalf of the poor, and labor unions, which Beck attributes to communism and socialism. In fact, Dr. King and the SCLC were on the radar of the House Un-American Activities Commitee, because that commitee, like Beck, saw communist connections in every activity for civil rights and unions. In fact one of Kings final speeches was in support of union workers on strike. I think had Beck and Dr. King been of the same generation, Beck would not speak favorably of him.

  • @merchan5967 Really? Where did you get that from? Wikipedia? HAVE YOU ANY CLUE AS TO WHAT A COMMUNIST IS? HOW ABOUT A FASCIST? SOCIALIST? Or is all you know how to do is take liberal talking points and spit them out in posts? Martin Luther King would have NEVER supported this perversion of what the unions used to be.

  • @T2003Cubs Yes I got that from wikipedia (I checked the sources, which were all listed and they check out). The fact is, Dr King's views directly contradict those of the Tea Party and Glenn Beck. And since you seem to know all about gathering objective information, where did you get your info saying that Dr. King was a conservative? I can provide quotes from King supporting my view. Can you (and cite the source please)? I certainly like to know.

  • @T2003Cubs Well lets see, The tea baggers like to to lump Socialism , Fascism and Communism all into one category. Why don't ya give us the run down; I am curious to know if you find a difference between the 3, lol My guess is a no. lol

  • @WolfArden44

Tea baggers, once again you have taken a page out of the lefts book: Assault the character of the individual instead of sticking to the facts. Grow up, it's old news and we are all onto that game.

Socialism: An economic system in which the production and distribution of goods are controlled substantially by the government rather than by private enterprise.

Communism: A governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing to opposition and criticism

  • @T2003Cubs

Uhm, you just copied and pasted the definition of each from dictionaryDOTcom, you expressed no personal understanding or modern exemplary reference of either term. Your (and the tea-baggers' ) comprehension of each is what is in doubt.

  • If by "we", beck means Republicans, he's half right. The ideology of the Republican party was different on social issues back then than it is today. But if it's conservatives he's talking about when he says "we", he's 100% wrong. Beck and Dr. King are on completely opposite sides of the ideological spectrum. All you gotta do is look up MLK on wikipedia to know that. Many who influenced him WERE socialists and a couple former communists. Dr. King was also a huge supporter of unions.

  • @merchan5967 A HA HA HA!!! I GUESSED WIKIPEDIA BEFORE I EVEN READ THIS POST! PREDICTABLE BUDDY!

You want to talk about equality and civil rights? Go back in history and look up which party was the first to place black americans in their administrations. Oh, and how many black americans did the lefts champion of civil rights Bill Clinton appoint to his administration???

  • Look, Dr. King did not put his life on the line for the sake of anyones pride. Pride is ok at a healthy level and respect can be a nice jesture but it love is what people really need more. And even more than they need love, they need to love others AS THEMSELFS, not just love there own or whatever. No picking and choosing. Love means do the right thing and that means true and consistent sacrifice. Big Government equals limited choices. Government cannot do the work of the people.

  • Glenn Beck - blacks don't own Martin Luther King - because in beck's logic all blacks originated from the slaves of whites. I think glenn wants to take back their freedom and return to the good old days where he could own them again. fuck beck

  • Glenn Beck's parents were brother and sister.

That excuses a lot of his bad behavior, right? i don't like Sharpton either, but Beck is worse.

  • @tangledweb79 No,actually they were grandfather and mother.That's why he's a retard!

  • @tangledweb79 You are right,my appologies.

  • Didn't Glenn Back fave a White Nationalist website on his twitter account? There's actually a photo still of it before Beck deleted the tweet.

  • Beck is making fun of Dr. King with what he is doing and he knows it. Neither Dr. King nor President Lincoln would align themselves with the republcian party we see today. Lincoln fought a war against the south and King fought against jim crow in the south. Back in the day democrates represented southern states but today southern states are represented by republicans. So what we have is different resprensetation but the same agenda and ideas that southern states had 47 years ago. Scarry

  • Actually, Glenn Beck is right on about the Civil Rights Movement. Check the references for yourself it was started by two white folks. I always thought that Dr. Martin Luther Kind started the Civil Rights movement; but, Glenn Beck showed me a little truth about history (i.e. HIS STORY)

  • the federal govt made it possible for racial equality. i wonder why the tea party is for state rights, against the federal govt, against social programs....theyre smacking america in the face with their racism lol

  • I've read alot of insults about Beck and im just wondering: do you'll have any facts, besides short edited clips of him, to back up your insults. B/c i would love to see some. If you watched one of his WHOLE shows you realize just how much research is done before he even PRESENTS his sthow

P.S cut the childish remarks like "teabagger" or "right-wing" b/c all it does is make me realize that behind that mouth of insults is a brain without facts or intellect. We've all passed 1st grade, it gets old

  • @ipooponcrackers Why do you doubt the facts presented about Beck, but believe the "facts" presented by Beck? He doesn't do ANY real research. Well over 95% of the stuff he says is disproven. The only people who believe it are those who already thought it in the first place. Using the letters of a person's name to explain a conspiracy theory?!?!?!! How far-fetched is that!?

  • We actually this is correct. Martin Luther King is a hero for ALL races. If you study his works you'd find he'd rather be considered as a human and a fellow christian whether than a black man b/c he was all about not classifying people by their color but their character instead. You're thinking of Malcolm X, who i might add was not as successful, who preached black superiority and called for blacks to arms and fight. Lesson learned: civil disobedience is much more affective than violence

  • Get it straight people. White people did in fact fight for and die for the rights of minority people. Glenn Beck is not trying to do anything against MLK. JR. Sharpton is the racist! I do not need his stupid rally to understand the civil rights movement. Just so you know, we will not be a SPECTACLE! We are standing for individual rights and if you think this moron is not a racist, you are the people who are not able to see truth! As for the tea-bagger comment , that is in itself a slur.

  • @cmjanmommy Well, apparantly, you have never hear nor read the entire "I Have A Dream" speach. If so, you will know that the Tea Party does not stand for what King marched for.

As far as the tea-bagger comment, a tree is known by its fruits...

  • @cmjanmommy You get it straight Dr. king was not for states rights. He would never belong to the tea party or the republican party that exist today because his fight was against jim crow in the south. BTW the white people you are referring to were Jewish and they were hung and persucuted just like blacks during the civil rights movement by european whites in the south which is what the tea party and the republican party consist of today. Sharpton was there were you or any of your family?

  • I cannot imagine any reason why any black or white would use this day to push their agenda. M. L. K stands on his own and doesn't need any egomaniac to defile his memory. As a white, I have strived to follow his example from the first moment I watched Dr. King on tv. He truly changed America. Now, they want it back and use this day. I quess they actually want a civil war. Why couldn't they do it the day after or before. I quess there is someone worse than. Lumbaugh

  • Watch tonight's program of Beck. He has Alveda King on the program. then decide

  • Man i wish Beck would just go away. How dare him shame MLK.. I will be there for the REAL MLK march. Beck is a idiot!

  • @kell4809 are you kidding me!?! its al sharpton who's shaming MLK. MLK didnt want to classify people by race, he never blamed white people and you know why? Well b/c he was smart, and kind, and caring enough to know that it's not skin that matters, which is what sharpton focuses on, it's about character.

Btw if the tea party is racist than why is any race allowed in whereas with the Black kitties its black only allowed hmm? I can remember another group that favored one race. It's called the KKK

  • @ipooponcrackers "Black kitties"?????

  • Again, more insults against Beck and no facts. Sad.

  • @frednoname1 You should listen to his bullshit show some time. What is sad is how he has nothing but lies and hatred for Americans to spread. The man is unpatriotic and downright a racist.

  • @Eruptide More name calling with no proof.

  • @Eruptide You talking about the Glenn Beck show, right? I don't listen to nothing he has to say. He has not the faintest clue as to what he's talking about.

  • @frednoname1 He really is a racist.

  • I'm getting sick of Beck trying to equate himself with Dr. King and Civil Rights activists. Dr. King stood for a government that would act to bring equality under the law for all races AND for the benefit of the poor. This goes absolultey against the stuff Beck is preaching. Barry Goldwater, the father of modern conservatism stood against the Civil Rights Act on principle because he believed it allowed Federal Power to encroach on states and private business rights.

  • democrats policies have been an abysmal failure to minorities.

yes states rights is the way to go.

    fail

    fail

    fail

  • They should be ashamed of abusing the name of Dr. King! They have no respect! If Glenn Beck were alive King's day, he would say that desegregation was communist.

  • The only "movement" Glenn Beck can claim is a bowel movement.

  • @erose999 lol...

  • Another thing that I have to get off my mind to you lefties. If we (the true majority of the American people not the useful idiots such as yourselves, not my words, Karl Marx's words) are supposedly co-opting the Civil Rights Movement then why would Alveda King(Dr.King's niece) go on Glenn Beck's program and be in support of the Resoring Honor Rally? I would think that Alveda King was closer to Dr.King and holds the true spirit of Dr.King rather than Al Sharpton. THIS WILL NOT BE A TEA PARTY!

  • @mp5guy101

Is Alveda King the exception or the rule?

  • @mp5guy101 No, you're not the "useful idiots", your the "useless idiots"!

    So, you idolize Karl Marx?

  • Those who would desecrate the dream of Dr. King are actually the philosophical children of those like Robert Byrd, who filibustered against the Civil Rights Bill.

  • The only legitimate role of a government is protection of individual rights. It was *government* that had systematically infringed on the rights of non-whites and women. MLK looked to have the government stop infringing on individual's rights. To have them follow the ideas they swore to uphold.

The call to states rights is not in and of itself for or against liberty. It is how it is proposed. Originally it was *for* liberty, during CRM against, now again for protection of them.

  • @landofbile MLK marched to Washington and refused to leave until the government stepped in and ensured equality amongst the races. The states made their own laws saying if was illegal to hold organized public assemblies. Dr. King wanted the federal government to make laws overturning the racial laws the states were imposing on them. The fire hoses being turned on them was not legalized by federal law. It was legalized through state and/or county law. (continued...)

  • @landofbile (continued...) King wanted the federal government to make laws that would overturn "state rights" that allow business to deny services/jobs on the basis of race. He wanted the federal government to overturn state laws that allow people to be denied housing and even being able to sit in a particular seat on a bus due to race.

  • When the f%&* are you true libertarians and constitutionalists going to wake up? The Glenn Becks and Sean Hannitys of the world ARE pro-big government as long as it's a Bushite in office. They are hiding behind the constitution and libertarianism now all of a sudden. Don't you get that? A lot of talk radio hosts (local and national) are all of a sudden calling themselves libertarians when they could have cared less about that ideology back in the early millennium. Stop being stupid, wake up.

  • When you put a lie behind one of our proudest moments in this countries history, you dishonor it by putting it into a debatable context. Not only that, the subjects become so dirty that to have a discussion with anyone about it becomes a verbal war and divide. Beck and his other cohorts of the same ilk strive for this division, work hard to create animosity, destroying our country with it.

  • BIG GOVERNMENT SUCKS THEY CANT DO ANYTHING RIGHT

  • @htowntim2007 and we shouldnt have to have a PERMIT to rally on property we paid to build and keep maintained FUCKING NAZI AMERICA.

  • Teabaggers are funny little angry people.

  • @1140Cecile you do realize the only reason why black people were able to get equal rights was b/c of many races, including WHITE PEOPLE, stepped in to help. I believe it was white people who died by the thousands to stop slavery too. So do some research before you start critizing. Oh and btw you do know that not all "teabaggers" as you so cleverly put it are white. Al Sharpton is the racist one, listen to him speak he even said before he despises white people. Pretty sure GB didnt say that

  • @ipooponcrackers You really believe more white people died than black people did to stop slavery?

  • @drmrby81 over 600,000 people died during the "civil" war. Almost all of them were white.

  • @1140Cecile If we keep down this path you are going to be begging us "teabaggers" to pick up our guns and religion and defend your damn freedom because Lord knows you won't do it yourselves.

  • @1140Cecile Oh really, I seem to remember you being the "angry, little people" for...oh about 8 yrs.Don't worry it will be reversed in Nov.Sharpton is off his rocker.Blacks certainly DO NOTown civil rights...civil rights are for ALL!

Sharpton had no business going up against Beck, made Libs look VERY desperate/pathetic [Shrug?]

    Olbermann's, even a BIGGER dipshit than Shapton,lol!

  • @1140Cecile Worthless degenerate hollow decadent skater punks are funny brainless people too

  • @1140Cecile Socialist Democrats are funny little useful idiots.

  • Comment removed

  • Sharpton is so smart :) I love that guy :)

  • @TheLonelyImmortal I second that!

  • kiethy....glenna...and Al? three con artists for the machine....the millions of dollars these assholes get to shovel shit for the machine!

  • Glenn Beck, thou art a supreme douche!

  • Keith is such a suckhound - yeah, Al Sharpton is about uniting; ask Tawana you phony fuck.

  • Should of kept it "Glenn Beck ," I have a scheme Rally" Because that is absolutely Becks agenda. Beck is trying to distort everything that the civil rights movement stood for. He's a sick bastard. He's dangerous to America man.

  • @WolfArden44 Do you even know what the civil rights movement was about? Your ignorance is what's dangerous my friend. EQUALITY IS WHAT IT WAS ABOUT! You think wealth redistribution says "equality?" Or is the lefts version of EQUALITY nothing more then reverse racism? (See affirmative action.)

  • @T2003Cubs Yep, you sound like a bright chap, eh, lol. Gotta love all the far right bullshit trollin 'crack pots' commenting. lol Well there cubs, Why don't you go ahead and give us the entire history of racism, and bigotry ,hmm? And as to why the civil rights movement even existed; considering you seem to think you are OH soooo brilliant. lol.

  • @WolfArden44 How can you oppose a rally with the message of 'Faith, Honor, and Charity"? If the Rev. Al Sharpton was really for civil rights and what MLK preached about not the color of one's skin but the content of one's character, then he and other "civil rights" leaders should have worked with the 828 rally, and REALLY brought people together. Alveda King (MLK's niece) is speaking at this rally and approves of what this rally is about.

  • @WolfArden44 Olbermann had Alveda King as the "Worst Person in The World". Who is Olbermann to cast stones?

  • @WolfArden44 - Beck is stupid. Newt Gingrich is the real nut case who can fool people much better.

  • one asshole responding to another... great...

  • Isn't Rand Paul the leader of Tbaggers? Isn't he against civil rights? I also thaught Glenn Beck claimed to not be a republican but a libertarian.

  • Al Sharpton is a buffoon and a black racist. Nuffsaid.

  • >:P

  • How did Glen Bech and LK come in the same sentence.
