  • Thats some deep lyrics

  • This song sounds an awful lot like Sevendust with its gang-screaming vocals, only a LOT LESS ham-hocked and ham-fisted, if you know what I mean. My fav Meshuggah song EVER!

  • Wish they would put out one more album like this... or at least some sort of a mix between this "thrashy" sound and what they did on DEI and Chaosphere... IMO this style provides much more variation and emotion.... the new stuff (while some of it is decent) is way too repetitive... and I don't think it shows what they are really capable of like these songs do...

  • i can't believe i hated this.

  • this rapes metallica..sideways

  • 3:42 . 4:20 (yup, 4:20, heh heh) frikkin kills. Killer song

  • so different from their new stuff! wow

  • Thats EXACTLY what I thought when I first heard this album, that it's like Metallica ,but on steroids and speed! This is my fave Meshuggah album along with Destroy Erase Improve

  • Fucking love that yell at 1:05

  • @CircleofShit yeah that's my favorite vocal of the track too, : ), haha... man I miss this style from them...

  • Fuck Nevada and all the ads on youtube!!!!!

  • sweeeet as song :D

  • Some one hear Randal Blythe here? 3:59 ?

  • @aj2001832000 Oh hi Randal haha never noticed that

  • Wow. This is the most mathematic compisition of beats, offbeats, thinking-you're-into-it-but-after-the-first-half-of-the-song-stating-you-where-wrong-est track EVER recorded in human history... *replay*

  • this t3h br00talz.

  • Still lots of Metallica "And Justice For All" influences here... but more like an upgrade of the style. Awesome!

  • @snupcho Gotta start somewhere right, what better influence then early Metallica, it even writes / states those early Metallica albums in the booklet as influence in Destroy = Erase = Improve,

  • @666Desolate999 Yeah man, everything's cool :)

  • thanks for uploading this stuff man.

  • @meshuggah6pantera you're welcome ;P lol

  • 6,666th view

  • Haake was with them in the early days wasen't he? Sounds like him.

  • @TheOmegaeyes He's on this album but not all the demo versions.

  • 2:27 - 3:15 ... this is what got me into Meshuggah.

    Absolutely brilliant

  • Me too, this exact part.

  • yup :) I heard Chaosphere before this albom. And I didn't like it at first.. then I heard this song.. BAM. Meshuggah 24/7.

  • @gleegin Yeah, that mix of fusion and metal, it's just so out-of-this-world. Also the solo at 4:20 is really cool. I didn't know Thordendal was such a good guitarist, I knew he's an awesome rhythm guitarist but not that he could play fusion this well. On their newer albums it mostly seems like random notes, even though it sounds cool. The solo in Cadaverous Mastication is really beautiful as well.

  • brutal bass = )

  • your mom is hot

  • Now i know im right lol, i just borrowed the album off a friend & i thought...FUCK ME! its like Hetfield with some big balls. I was expecting to get flamed if i mentioned it in here but everyone gets it for a change, nice to know we can all agree from time to time without arguments.

  • fuck this kicks so much ass.... IN FUCKING 1991...

  • 1991 was an amazing year for metal.

  • the texture and melody of all these songs far exceeds anything on That came out between Chaosphere and Obzen. Oh yeah and Im a sucker for the gang vocals

  • Call and repeats rule.

  • @WinchesterQDouche I believe call and response is what you mean;)

  • is it just me or does every song on this album kick ass. I bought the CCand None album about 10 years ago and it hasnt left my cd player for most of that duration

  • I think Meshuggah has grown enormously musically and vocally over the years. I prefer their newer stuff over this, even though this is pretty badass!

  • i must say that i would like if he would incorporated this kind of vocals on their new album,i think it would be even more chaotic

  • I love how Jens Kidman sounds like a more badass version of James Hetfield on this album.

  • @xese4lifex yep, and he played the guitar too!

  • @xese4lifex i just signed in to post this same comment then i saw it. haha. :D

  • @xese4lifex You're right about the vocals. But the long instrumental part in the middle of the track is what makes me high. Thrash metal on a New Level.

  • @xese4lifex Fuck $metallica$ and fuck james hetfield faggot !

  • vocals from early meshuggah sound like a sonic salad between metallica, pantera, and other late 80's/early 90's metal that I can point my finger at. Meshuggah is meditative brutal fucking insanity, and you can't take it any other way!

  • This one is really experimental.

  • Every stage of Meshuggah is excellent, and as much as i love their recent groove based style, there's just something magical about those thrashy songs and those excellent odd harmonies between guitars!

  • ah idd these early meshuggah vocals reminds me a bit of metallica

  • shows u what metallica might have become if they didnt turn all gay comercial

  • hey why is this negative u cant deny what happened to them

  • Metallica?

    !

  • he kinda sings like da testament guy some parts

  • Testament guy,, lmao :)

  • vocals were a tad like metallica in some parts the way he sung them. not at all like the vocals he shows now

  • i no

  • This song has me hypnotized... HEEEELP!! SAVAGERY! BREATHING UNDERWATER DEATH!\m/
