I've ridden flat track but not like that. In my area everyone rode motocross bikes and it was less exact and a lot more fun. The main competition seemed to be how knoby you could find a DOT approved tire and the guy with the "knobiest" tire had a good chance of winning. A good roost aim never hurt to keep everyone behind you the hell out of the way too.
A lot of people might disagree with me, but, any small track in any small town in midwest America. Where guys spend Friday nights drinking beer and working on bikes, and Saturday afternoons getting sideways.
@Imnomensa I don't know the patch part, but I really miss Scott being in it too! I saw a video that a while back that said he is working for Harley-Davidson at a test track facility somewhere. The name Scott Parker equals speed in my book! He was awesome!!
I get the pleasure of watching Joe race Supermoto now in the Spokane area... Need to hire Joe to meet me at the kart track at Spokane for some Sumo lessons :)
That's because of how the tracks were prepared. They were mor of a "cushion" track meaning more loose dirt than a "blue groove" which is what you see more of nowadays...
The pass @1:15 is intense.

Where is all the quality footage from the last few years? Can you recommend where I can view it for free online, youtube...?
This racing has got to be the most interesting and most dangerous.
