It is a similar coating. However this is meant for glas and Ceramic Surfaces - it has extra additives in which means that the surface is anti bacterially protected as well as being Olephobic, Lipophobic and hydrophobic. we have a separate product for Car Glass which will last up to approx 6- 12 months - depending upon conditions and mileage.

Rain X has a hydrophobic effect but this wears off relatively quickly.

@EtrenX Hi sorry for late reply - I have been ill in hospital for the last 2 months.

On a sink - around 6-12 months. Can easily be refreshed, Toilet around 12-24 months, shower around 6-12 months, Acylic and enamel bath around 12-24 months. Regards Alan

A sink that is Anti bacterially protected, no Limescale, oxcidization or odours needs mcuh less cleaning and when cleaned only water and Microfilament Cloth. saves my wife and many others who purchase it, hours of time and stops the use of harmful chemical cleaners.....

It needs much less cleaning and when, needs only water and Microfilament Cloth to keep it Anti Bacterially protected. thanks for the enquiry. The effects on our Premium Glass coating will last up to 12-24 months depending upon surface and everday use. for example on Outside Windows where only rain washes over - about 24 months (can also be longer!). If Windscreen Wipers are being used on a car and there is regular abrasiveness then this will shorten the period. Our discount products will last about 3-6 months.... Hope this helps all...
