hey, i have a question. yesterday, i bought one for 114.99 CAD + Tx, and, my uncle and dad told me they saw these at around 69.99 CAD, did they just saw another yellow helicopter or is it possible that somewhere they sell them at a such low price ?, i mean, the company selling them, sells them 99.99 USD directly from the site, how is this even possible ?
in the instruction manual the part # 004, the upper rotor head & stabilizer flybar hub/ holder broke. I cut some clear tape into a strip 1/16 thick and 3/4 in length
Then I wraped tape around the shaft between the flybar at the top of the tape and where the shft comes into the plastic hub.
Making sure flybar moved freely. then I melted the tape with a lighter and pressed it together like burning a nylon rope after you have cut it.
In one video, the author stated that you have to re-trim the mCX EVERY time you insert a new battery?!?!?! is this true? if so, that's disappointing. :(
Not true. However one thing that some people may overlook is that, when you plug the battery in, leave the heli sit flat on your bench or table so that the gyro can calibrate itself properly.
Charge time is about 20-minutes depending on the status of the AA's in the charger. Flight time is between 6-10 minutes depending on how much throttle used. You can bind the mCX's radio to the Sukhoi but it's not recommended.
Is it bind-able to any four channel controller? How about the transmitter that comes with the ParkZone Thyphoon 3D? It's a fully proportional 4-channel radio system.
If your using Mode1 for planes its an alright setup but if your using it for helis having the throttle and the roll on the right seperate from the elevator it just sucks. I prefer with helis to fly mode 2 with the roll and elevator on the right stick. Its just better but im lucky my hobby shop in Canberra,Australia has heaps of mode1 and mode2 transmitters.
I went to Hobbyco in the CBD and some kid who looked like he was dreaming of shaving basically treated me like a leper. They didn't have ANY mode 2 support anywhere in the shop.
I'm just getting into RC from a 2ch Havoc to a well-wicked 3ch and now want to leap to four. But I refuse to pay $300+ for a radio and another $200 for the mCX just to be able to fly around the house like a normal person.
I don't think I'll have to if I find the right hobby shop. Can you recommend any in Sydney ?
It's actually pretty comfortable. Plus if you want to use a different Spektrum transmitter you can...just get a Bind-N-Fly (EFLH2280) and you can bind it to any air DSM2 transmitter or module.
We've flown them with both the standard TX and the DX6i. The DX6i will provide a little finer adjustments in terms of trims but they both perform about the same.
I just got it today and flew it for a couple hours. It's really fun - and learning to fly it is quite simple. It flies really well! So if you're reading this and you're wondering which one to get - get this one!
188? That's nuts. I just bought it today at a hobby shop for 130 dollars. My dad even got the guy to throw in an extra li-po battery ($11) for free. You can also get it for 130 dollars on ebay.
I got it! It flies real good, and doesn't make much noise.Only $100 for the Bind n fly if you have a spektrum radio. Even if your an expert, it's just so much fun.
yes, i like its small size... much easier to learn to fly in a house.. the larger one's can get away from you when your learning.. this one is the size of my havoc, but has much more control like my other 4 channel copter which is to large for my house to learn..i may just get one of these..great demo 5 stars
Great little bird but you put up a similar or the same video a few weeks back, still a great heli just hope it is just as good as my old cx2 was,if so then the people who buy this will be very pleased as it was a great heli to practice on,i just might treat myself to one lol,5*
My mcx twists the more throttle i give it and iv trimmed it all the way both waus all the way..i have onky had it for 5 hours??

hey, mine won't take off ,the right stick function work , but the throttle won't work , any idea how i could solve this ?
QcWazabi 1 year ago
@theneedforspeed100 You should not have to re-bind before every flight. I would contact product support.

ummm.....didnt he said everything was in the box ready to fly, then he said you need a transmitter?

@goodnhammerd That's only for the BNF version

Is there any body mods avialable from E-flite for it?
wrestlemaniac202 2 years ago
About the only different body I know of is to install the S300 body on it.

How long dose it take to charge and what is the flight time? And also is the stock RTF transmitter bindable with the ParkZone micro Suckhoi?
ShalemH 2 years ago

HorizonRCdotCom 2 years ago
Thanks alot, but why is it not recommended?
ShalemH 2 years ago
With the Sukhoi you're really going to want something that is more precise and programmable. The DX6i is what we recommend.

Great review, thank you! Very informative.

It needs to be a DSM2 based radio system.

Yes you can

can i bind it to my dx5e radio?

Yes, it works very well with the DX5e

CormiersCorner 2 years ago
About a 20-25 minute charge time, 8-12 minute flight time depending on how you fly.

Did you just break the ball? If so you can rotate it around to the other side of the rotor and use the other ball in the interrum
