@StopSpamming1 good question lol..maybe their original point was to mock all religions but they learned how much money churches make and just decided to play along :)
How the hell can you get a tax exemption for being a "church" without having public access to the beliefs of the faith??? Total bullshit. I can't think of any other church that is so secretive about their beliefs.... their practices, yes.....but not their beliefs.
@AnonymousElektron Whoa, you sound like a Scientologist. What are you doing with an "Anon" name? Trolling?
Tell me something now. Why do people have to infiltrate Scientology to get the truth? Why doesn't the organization answer questions honestly? Maybe you're not all that objective either. Ya know.
i used to live in boston, ma and there are people from the church of scientology hanging out on a main street, getting people to go over to their headquarters and take a "personality" test. a friend and i went over and took it just for a laugh.
People, I think the semantics of the argument are clouding the issues. I mean this war of the words, which Scientology is so fond of, really is quite irritating and distractive from the point. Don't undermine and intentionally perplex the simple logic of what Scientology really is and does!
Regardless of what it "does", and those claims are very much in debate -- I have not seen any proof offered by the church -- the means by which they attempt to attain those results are very much at issue. That is to say, the ends do not justify the means. The process itself may taint the perceived results.
What do the Christians say, "What good is it if a man should gain the whole world but forfeits his own soul?"
I agree with you puffymuppet, what it does isn't exactly what the church claims. I've been certified in their eyes as an auditor, and from what I can see the regression effect is more damaging then helpful. I wouldn't dispute the psychological consensus (now that I'm out) that Scientology produces the largest recorded statistic of false memory syndrome.
The basics, auditing, TRs, word clearing and study tech, all rudiments of Scientology practice, is nothing more than brainwashing.

the e-meter isn't a lie detector hah this video is a complete lie.. wow learn something for yourselves and see if its true for you,u can start here: 'scientology . org. the technology is amazing!
Before using Latin to prove a point you may wish to learn about conjugation - you said "Always the same opponenets with arguments logical fallacies and refined language." Take a good look at the statement. Double negatives reside in each language and you've proven that point perhaps without knowing it. I leave you with this: "I'm allergic to locomotives 'cause they're always running into you." Lafayette Ron Hubbard. I take it you think LRH's statements are logical. I feel sorry for you.
I don't think LRH is logical either. In fact, the whole controversy is a giant farce because neither side is arguing properly according to any form of reasoning.
You've not only taken my post and misquoted it, but have made it nonsensical and spelled things incorrectly. I'm not trying to use Latin to be pretentious, but am using a common term used to describe logic. It would be more confusing if I tried to "translate" it.
Thanks for quoting LRH without a source to back it up, too. Cheers.
The source of my quote is Ronny himself. I'm tossing a PM your way with the attached vid. Kooky Wacky Crazy Talk. Cheers to you. As to spelling - who cares, it's the net?
I wasn't misquoting you, just offering a rebuttal to your "as a Scientologist I'm the only one who can help you" or whatever you wrote down. Enjoy the vid.
I was joking with that comment, as I've said. And misquoting means getting a quote wrong. Compare your version with mine. It's not just spelling.
Just the title of that video is unworthy of an argument. And I've seen the video, but I'm not going to judge Scientology by it, because there is a lot more to it than LRH. I know Scientology lies about him. But have you read any of their books as well? They are a bit out there, but some things make sense. And some things don't, of course.
I actually tried to get through Dianetics. When you get down to it though almost any argument that's wacky has some rationale to it. I don't judge CoS based on the vid, just Ron's quotes as well as a the CoS members I've actually met in person. Like any group that I've met so far there are the good and the bad. What nails me is the whole OT idea... it just seems odd. Space planes are DC-8s? What if Ron had been born earlier, would they have been Sopwith Camels?????
Dianetics is so long, I haven't read it yet, but I'm familiar with the concepts, which are a bit convoluted. I have my books secondhand (so I wouldn't be giving them money), & have read Scientology: A New Slant on Life, The Way to Happiness and The Problems of Work. I like some of the methods, but obviously, it's not science. When a Scientologist guest visited univ., he said he'd treat mental illness with vitamins and claimed he is never afraid. I wasn't impressed by anything but his conviction.
I was actually just joking, and don't support the church. I am very tired of Anonymous, however, and don't think logical fallacies prove much of anything, which is a shame.
And the only way to help oneself is through Scientology, hence needing to learn it from a Scientologist or org. first. "Helping people help themselves."
LOOOOL!!! I got taken into that scientology place in this video on Tottenham Court Rd.
Was walkin down with mates, su, woman comes and says 'fill out this survey', im like 'ok :S', then in the space of about 20 seconds, we're all inside the building, sitting down in a mini cinema, watching a brainwashing film! So we legged it :D One of the fucking bouncers grabbed my arm as i ran out! WTF? They're fuckin crazy ppl seriously. Dont ever walk down the Goodge St side of Tottenham Ct Rd! YOU WILL DIE
Amazing lets get the Views up post the name everywhere i will :) as a psychologist and NLP practisioner, I'm trying my best to raise awareness. please help and post the name of this on all the video's you can find please
When this first came out, the Scientologists had a demonstration against it on Tottenham Court Road, London. They were screaming their heads off with slogans like "Carlton get straight!" that must've been baffling to passers-by. They got loud as well- really hysterical.
They will be stopped. Bilderberg will soon be destroyed as well. For those of you who don't know what Bilderberg is, please research it for the sake of this planet.
This CoS stuff is serious. Don't foul it up with this Alex Jones truther bullshit. Leave the whacked out conspiracy theories to the CoS and their beliefs that psychiatrists are behind everything bad in the world.

People believing a man walked on water, snakes or ants can talk, horses can fly all think Scientology is batshit crazy. Odd.
If people believe something called god creates human souls, why can't Xenu? Same difference.
