  • @1CMan1977 12.7 is something I have seen a bone stock car with a professional driver do, over and over again when I lived in the UK. 12.9 is a number that has been bounded around a lot on quattroworld and other forums and time slips are out there. 13.4 is slow for a RS4, period. How do you exactly take a brand new car to a quarter mile event when the engine is not even broken in? My car had extremely bad carbon build up at 17K (Kilometers) and that is a barely broken in engine.

  • @herownercom You need to drive the car a little harder then. :)

Car had 2500kms when raced. Maybe that was the reason... I know sometimes cars come "detuned" from the factory until a certain mileage is hit.

  • @herownercom

    hmmm...R!

Show us some 12.X RS4 quarter mile times for full weight un-modified cars. I'd love to see them.

  • That is still relatively slow though. I would think that this car has carbon build up. Usually the RS4 runs around 12.7 to 12.9 bone stock.

  • @GotRS4 The car was brand new. No Carbon build-up... just driver maybe not shifting as fast as he should... or warm weather.... etc.

On a perfect day maybe 12.7... but we're talking about the real world here... with real world conditions. Still pretty good for a daily driver. :)

  • haha the camaro won, american v8 bitches

  • 0:25 OTHER V8 CAR SOUNDS

  • audi rs4 v8 gones milltek exhausts

  • Yes Toronto, Ontario. Do you see the Canadian Flags !

  • wrong. tdot canada.

  • elevation correction? Thats not much better than a bone stock '06 Evo

  • he had a bad reaction time

  • reaction time has nothing to do with 1/4 mile time.

  • yea it does if 2 cars can run low low tens than the one with the better reaction time .. might just win.

  • Sure... but all everyone is commenting on is his 1/4m time.... and reaction time isn't added into that equation.

  • audis4mister is correct. reaction time plays a HUGE roll in quarter mile times...

  • You need to get to the drag strip. Reaction times are not calculated in quarter mile times. You can leave 30 seconds after the light and still hit an 11sec quarter mile time if you wanted.

  • @KeepDaBeat bullshit. you can sit at the light for 25 seconds and your ET will still be the same as if you went when it turned green. R/T doesn't mean shit when it comes to ET.

  • Oh thats right.. the old B5 S4 fan crowd. Pity the b5's weight distrib. and everything else sucks ass. As every magazine pointed out, the RS4 is the FIRST (not second) car audi has made that handles properly.

  • go drive a b5 s4 and then talk to me.

  • Both the B5 S4 and the B7 RS4 are amazing cars. End of discussion.

  • ya but it lost! haha

  • This was his first time out, with a completely stock "Stick" car. Not that easy to run a great time the 1st time out with any car.

As far as comparing it to a Miata... be happy with the Miata... I don't think he'd feel to threatened lining up next to you at the next traffic light ;)

  • lol n1

  • you should be able to push B7 into 12sec territory with proper launch/shifting...

  • kinda disappointing for an RS4. My old b5 s4 could do 13.5@106 repeatedly with only a chip.
