I just completed the starter edition :)!! Got 1 question : Does all races have a single player or only the terran???

@Pisineenfles only terran does as of right now but there is 2 expansion coming out heart of the swarm which is the zerg campain which will add 20 more missions which is coming out soon and then there is legacy of the void which will have the protoss single player campaign so yes in time there will be single for everyone but wings of liberty is just terran but u do get to play as protoss and zerg in some of the missions

n00b question, is this game mainly single player? or are you really supposed to play online and pay endless monthly fees to compete against gronks who spend 15 hours per day practicing to kill you as soon as you appear? (btw I hate online games just in case you can't tell).

The game revolves mostly around multiplayer, as single player is fun, but has an end. Multiplayer, however, does not.

I wish the game was a little more gritty and feroceous. Im not a harcore warhammer 40k fan but I really enjoyed the feel of that game and wish sc2 was more like that. This looks a little too flat and boring to me. Like the tanks should really wreak havoc but they feel like huge airsoft guns. Maybe other levels and units are different i dunno. The game does looks really polished though, I give them that. I think i'll get this once the price isnt so high.

I suddenly came to the realization about Duran. In the bonus level you can play in Brood Wars, Tasadar encountered Duran who made Protos/Zerg Hybrids. He said he wasnt working for "Young" Karagan, but a higher power. Could he of possible be a Zelnoga in disguise? If they created the Protos and the Zerg, who knows what they can do.

Didn't the protoss beat the crap out of the Xel'naga when the Xel'naga realised their creation (the protoss) aren't perfect and tried to leave and the protoss got hissy about it? No remember the Protos got divided into tribes. Some of them accepted the Xel Naga as gods and some didnt.

To put it simply, Blizzard retconned the SC lore. They needed to create a reason for Jim Raynor ( who is technically a protoss ally), to wage war against some protoss dissidents; so that you, as the player, gets to combat the protoss in the SP campaign.

also and im sure the hissy group of protoss was the conclave

yes blizzard said that some units will not be in the multiplayer but but if u watch the newest interview then u will see some buildings that needs prottos or zerg tech and those units / buildings will not apear

In the SC2 Beta there is NO medics, but there is a medivac (flying transporter who can heal light units).

This must be old, because there is no ground medics in SC2.

It is a great game! The beta is closed atm.

I played this mission where you have to fight this giant zerg beast called Brutalisk, it sprays acid, stoms units, claws units in AOE, spits out infested terrors and has sonic screeching abilities. so cool

SC1: Jim had a friend - Kerrigan. Terran general wanted to control the zergs and use as weapon. Kerrigan was left for dead to the zerg. The zergs made her their queen. Protoss saw her as a threat. They fought her, and eventually won by going against their morals and using Dark Templars.

Expansion: She's weaken and want to gain back power. She forced the Terran and Protoss to help her get it back or else the zergs which she could no longer control will destroy them all.

I'm saying that you can't expect much sense from a (sci -fi) game. Thus Medivac healing is not at all less logical than medic.

The medic anyway heals with some kind of magic touch, which doesn't make any sense compared to real life healing procedures.
