This game was the scariest in the original trilogy because you died sooo quickly, more enemies at a time and the aiming system was just horrible ! Some of the rooms were creepy as hell too. It's a shame modern survival horror games are so focused on gore, real horror comes from mystery :).

One of my most memorable and favourite games of all time. This game literally scared the shit out of me at the time. Had loads of atmosphere.

Shame the series went down the gurgler - and not to mention the hideous movie adaptions.

The best part is when you get to control Grace. I also liked Jack in the Dark. It was short, but still a worthy entry into this classic series. The new Alone in the Dark game called Inferno flat out sucks, quite frankly.

I take it you mean "Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare?" Strictly speaking, that game was Alone in the Dark 4, although it was developed by a different team and, thus, is a truly different game than the original Trilogy (although not horrible either).

First time I've seen THAT clip with Elizabeth Jarret (1:39)! What release of Alone in the Dark 2 is this from? I don't remember it at all from the DOS version (her model stands in her spell room for this part of the intro in that version).

Je n'aime pas du tout cet opus car il detruit tout ce qui faisait le charme de Alone in the dark l transformant en un simple shoot them up sans aucune subtilité...C'etc e qui fait qu'alon in the dark n'est pas resté longtmps dans la légende mais il n'empeche que c'est un grands classique sans qui resident evil ne serais jamais né(qui fait le mauvais choix aussi de tourné au shoot them up)

Yes, this like it, but remember it might be a tad oldschool, since it came before RE.

this game rocked, but I was young when i first played it with a friend. The old graphics still make me all nostalgic. New graphics don;t do it for me.
