can you put the names of the books on your shelf in the info so i can just look at the names and authors instead of listening to the video because my audio on my computer is bad. and read a tree grows in brooklyn and joy in the morning by betty smith.
have starnger in a strange land, slaughter house 5, On the road (with you on that one was ok) As for recomendations: I don't do, or at least for people I don't know.
@otioseanima well whn i read fountainhead i was completely blown away by it and so were my friends; but then i slowly realised it wasn't that great as i thght of it initially. i mean its still amongst my fav but no more the way i used to think of it; certainly not in my top 5.
@otioseanima Really? Me too. And I'm not saying that to hit on you because you're pretty. You have a tattoo and I don't like tattoos at all. So, there you go. :-p So, great choice for the fountainhead.
STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND.....................why?? I found it boring and couldn't get passed the first 50-some pages, but I did love Atlas Shrugged and will read it again.
My Favorites....fairly typical...Catcher in the Rye, To Kill A Mockingbird, A Man without a Country, Infidel, Born Standing Up, Into the Wild, The God Delusion, The Old Man and the Sea....and the list goes on! Nice collection =0)
Im a bit late, but if your intereased in eastren religion/philosophy, id suggest Herman Hesse's Siddhartha and Steppenwolfe. In Steppenwolfe he uses a western style to present it, works pretty well.
You should try reading Maximum Ride. It's about 5-i think- kids who have wings. It's a really good adventure story and I love reading it. The 5th book came out on March 16th. When I read Maximum Ride, It's like I'm in a whole new world. Books can take you on adventures, but Maximum Ride will take you to a whole other world.
You should really read "Zen in the Art of Writing" by Ray Bradbury. It is soooo good and it is a short book. Its not only teaching you about writing, he tells you all of his influences and the story of his life with such emotional words.
I've read about half of those books and the other half I've been wanting to read like forever. A couple of them I never heard about. Even so, I'm really surprised! I mean, I can't even find people who read ANYTHING, let alone someone with such a big taste overlap. I don't get it, I must have been born in the wrong part of the world. And my recluse lifestyle won't help, sure...
Thanks for the vid, anyway. It's good to know i'm not alone.
I wish the 'k' in the title would change to a 'b'
