From 1392–1897, Joseon Dynasty is known as a powerful empire and korea saw advances in natural science, agriculture, literature, traditional medicine, and engineering. With that said, all empires will have their decline, and Joseon is no exception. With foreign influence over the land and onslaught of westernisation, Joseon eventually crumbles.

At this time, the mongols were powerless. The mongols were at their peak sometime between aoe1 and aoe2. However, you can still play as mongols in aoe 2. In aoe2 compagin, however, the mongols aren't as powerful as the growing civs of europe, china, etc...

The screwed up thing about Age of Empires 3 is that Ensemble kinda IGNORED the Asian cultures save Turkey and Russia, and had several European nations. Plus the only expansion they developed was adding in 3 Native American civilizations.

It took, another studio, Big Huge Games, working alongside Ensemble to make The Asian Dynasties...

I find it messed up since the original intent for the Europeans to expand was to find better trade routes into Asia!

What we now call Russia had a mostly "Asiatic" type of culture up until Peter the Great turned it into a more Europeanized one, and even then its still different compared to Europe.

The Golden Horde(Mongols) invaded then left it destroyed. They rebuilt, then reclaimed the areas that once belonged to the Golden Horde. So, they were originally Europeans moving east. But, yes they did have a very Asian culture and war tactics, example: Cossacks

Ive played every single game under the Age of Empires title..

i have to admit, Age of Empires , The Conqueror is the best. Age of Empire 1... yes its funny to play and it makes me happy when i play it, but Age of Empires 2 TC has everything AOE 1 didnt have!! Age of Empires 3.... its just... NOT age of empires.. It could be an own series like Age of Indusrtiality(or something) But.. Its a fine game.. even though i dont get in Age of Empires mood when i play it:)

I have to say that Age of Empires II was the best imo, however i didnt care for the campaigns. They were very difficult for me, then again i was 8. Age of Empires 3 i would say is better than one becasue of the new gameplay and much more exilerating combat system, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
