@JonnybravoM3 It is very unique and just think, you not only have one of Eric Clapton's favorite cars but Enzo Ferrari and Ferrucio Lamborghini's favorite type; front engine V12, four seats, two doors. And it's no slouch, you could still snap at the heels of a 458 on a good road.

I have to admit though that it gives my modded M6 a very good run for its money - no chance the M6 can keep up with this on the track.

@stadi90 - To each his own of course. Both the 458 and the Scud are great cars but I was looking for something more on a daily driver level. And fyi - this was about US$ 55,000 more expensive than the 458 Italia. So no, can't buy for the same money plus I would have had to wait a year for the 458. Also, regarding the Scud - very hard to find a top condition used one on my local market.

But one must not underestimate the capabilities (and tuning potential) of the GTRs. Yes maybe a little quiet and perhaps a little soul-less - but God do they fly - especially the '12.

Ive watched old escorts doing1/4 miles in 10 flat, much the same feeling towards them, different class all together and incomparable to a true supercar. Performance is one of probably 20 qualities that makes a amazing car. The GTr has that nailed, its quick as fuck, but i struggle to see any thing else out of it!!

@krichards816 - Thanks for your comment. I had 3 Maserati Quattroportes (1 duo select '04; and 2 Automaticas '05 and '07 models) - all experienced engine and heating problems. So one day the dealers called me and said this new baby arrived, took a trip down, fell in love and placed my deposit. No courses required but when I tracked the car back in October for the first time, I had a friend of mine who also owns a 612 ride shotgun for a few laps to show me the ropes. :)

@Sauron767 - Honestly, last year I asked if I could test drive the 430 Scuderia demo car & they said the only way would be to ride along or take it for a quick spin around the block with one of the staff members with me. But not all dealers allow that. I was offered that taking into account my customer history with them having owned Maseratis & on the basis that I was an interested buyer. Might be best to rent one with a few friends & share in the cost.

Never rev a motor when cold. That oil needs time to heat up and move into the cylinders. I fucked up my 350 in my pickup truck from doing that.
