Vandwo is right. Another problem is that Latvia is loosing its own amaizing culture, beacause of huge influence of other cultures such as English-American or Russian and it's bad... I'm half latvian and half russian, but there's no other place in the world that I love more than Latvia. I wish there could be more people who understands, that it's very important not to forget our roots. Latvians, don't let our children degrade, watching to all those "American Pies" and other immoral things.

I have to move to Riga until summer (from Estonia) to teach English so this is interesting for me. Of course Tallinn and Vilnius are a bit similar to this vid too though Riga's bigger.
Latgallians can pretty much take care of the the dialect themselves. However they have to kick out the gloomy russian influence in the language. Pissed me off.

Latgallian is a dialect of Latvian, although it has a distinct literary culture, and frankly the Latvian state should do more to preserve it.

Yea Latgalian is like the true language of Lativa :) We don't what the rest of Lativa speak but sure not Latvian ;P
