I think this movie was kind of like Rocky Horror Picture Show. Too much awesome, wrong time. But even so, if both movies were to come out in this year, too many stupid people wouldn't appreciate it like they are now.
It baffled me that this movie didn't do well with critics. Ok, so the plot wasn't great, but watching this movie for the plot is like riding a plane for the peanuts. I agree with a comment above. There was so much talent and high quality music in the movie that it more than makes up for the plot. A stage full of legends at the end of this movie. Pure awesomeness.
@OftenMisled Well I guess we have different opinions I like the kid he give me a good chuckle. IMHO the biggest fault of part 2 was that they did not have a clear gaol like saving the orphanage in the original. Wining that contest just did not capture my heart. But still, I think that 200 is one of the best sequels in American film history
@Brilchan Aymehitari just answered that for you.... too much talent for 1 movie. and keep in mind, it was released in the late 90's... excess went out of style with the 80's. and excess is what rock n' roll, blues and jazz is all about.
They got a honeysuckle growing on a honeysuckle vine uuuuuhhhhhhh great song!!!!

@Brilchan It was good movie. It was hard to top the first one though! It ranks number 2 right behind to the first one!

@Brilchan I dont know either this is awesome
LoverofSong243 10 months ago
@Brilchan You had me up until the "Buster was gold" bit.
That sort of thing might have been the ultimate undoing of the movie, like the 'meesa meesa' dude made a mockery of Star Wars.
