@sosvocaloid Less than 6 months later I was ready to upgrade as I felt D70s was holding me back and I needed a better camera. Now I'm waiting for D800 to come out so I could upgrade again. It's D800 or D3s. Let's see.
The SB range of flashes are excellent IMO but way over priced for my D7K I ended up with a Nissin DI622 which does 90% of what a SB700 can do but only costs £130.
so I can have 2 flashes doing master and slave for less than a single light source SB
@trackend Not bad at all. Go to my channel and look for a video that says $66 YN560. It's another great third party flash. You can also use made in china triggers in case you're shooting in day light as CLS may not pick up the flash. Not ttl mode with those triggers though which is good as manual is the way to go. By the way, I also own the same GGS viewfinder hood. It hangs on my neck on sunny days.
Hy, I`m thinking of swapping my D5000 for a D7000 because it has a commander mode for flash triggering right? Do you need anything else to trigger the sb 7000 remotly with your camera? - or just a d7000 in commander mode?
@infringinator I do a lot of wedding shoots along with family portraits. A certain portion I save to upgrade the equipment. As the quality goes up, I also increase my charges as well.
@PhotographersOnUTube do you shoot weddings on your own? Im kind of scared to do weddings since those brides want everything perfect lol. Any advice on how to start out in the family portrait business? I decided to invest in a sb-700 but I need to start making money off my equipment!
@nasir0092 I have used almost all the Nikon flashes and I love SB700 the most. It's very light in weight and carries a decent punch. I would go for it.
@CSUnicorno The noise level varies on lighting situation. Full frame sensor delivers better noise performance than a DX (crop sensor) But yes, every dslr will have noise (if you increase the ISO) D3s is Nikon's best dslr when it comes to noise performance but it's not noise free.
@Scottdude21 If you're talking about D7000, then yes, it does have a pop up flash, though I am not an advocate of using it. It casts very harsh shadows. You could diffuse some light by using Gary Fong products but it won't match the light quality of a bounce flash. I'll be doing a video on pop up flash vs bounce flash and will send you the link.
@wildone106 Haha. Oh yes! The most difficult part is not opening the box if you plan to do the unboxing video. I'm waiting for Nikon D800 to come out and I don't know if I'd be able to do unboxing video because I'll open that box before I could even say bye to the mail man lol.
@ZORESAY Thanks! It's pretty decent. I didn't see a dramatic spike when I went from 1600 to 3600. For a camera in this price range, I think it's great.
@danishanjum Not just cameras or lenses but also diffusers, soft boxes, and photography tutorials. Biweekly small photography projects for subscribers so we could all learn new stuff through each other.

@Grga989 Yes, D7000 has the commander mode. Keep in mind it may not work when there is plenty of light available. Indoor it works fine.
