  • More like Capt'n Kong.

  • It's barrels of fun!!

  • This is a big reason why we all had ADD.

  • If you catch at the end. You'll notice the Purina Meat Co. logo. I used to work for this company with inventory control in Texas. They didn't just sell dog food, they sold hamburger patties, etc. The cereal had hoof tips in it. They sold to various companies even Jello.

  • 1 person could'nt enjoy this balanced breakfast

  • Imagine if they made "Sugar Bombs" cereal.(Fallout 3)

  • @MrShootinputin Sugar Bombs cereal was originally from (as far as I can tell) Calvin and Hobbes, a cartoon strip they used to put into the Sunday papers but wasn't popular enough.

  • @Naurdagnor Are you sayin Calvin And Hobbes wasn't popular? They have 18 books with over 45 million copies sold. It ran 10 years in 2,400 papers. It's still in syndication in more than 50 countries.

If it's the cereal you refer to, C&H ate Chocolate Frosty Sugar Bombs. Sugar Bombs can be found all over New Vegas in Fallout 3. Research, people.

  • @TheCrimsonification From where I stand, the Sunday papers no longer print Calvin and Hobbes. In the past, they were of greater popularity, but no new books have been produced for some time. In other words, they are running the same strips over and over now.

Chocolate Frosty Sugar Bombs...and you find no relation to that in the terms of just regular Sugar Bombs? Gracious...if one thinks about it a little, there could easily be variations of Sugar Bombs in C&H. Common sense, please.

  • @Naurdagnor The creator, Bill Waterson, wanted to retire the characters. The fans protested. Syndication means "Re-runs" And nope. No regular Sugar Bombs. Just trusty old Chocolate Frosty Sugar Bombs. The books are still selling. You can get one at Chapters right now. If you want Sugar Bombs, get a copy of Fallout 3:New Vegas. It's everywhere.

  • @TheCrimsonification That doesn't mean someone else couldn't learn to draw the characters and begin it again when his copyright becomes outdated. The whole idea of creating a world that Calvin lived in was to use your imagination, and to consider the idea that Calvin only liked Chocolate Frosty Sugar Bombs, as compared to perhaps the boring regular Sugar Bombs, isn't out of the way of imagination for the world created by Bill Waterson. I have several of his books, such as Revenge of the babysat.

  • James Earl Jones?!?

  • super chunchi kong cereal XDXD(por eso le llaman crancky kong a cranky pero en este caso es chunchy)

  • too...many...video game...cereals

  • i remeber that cereal, it was so good.

  • FAIL, it's just Cap'n crunch with DK on it. I mean, seriously, they just got some random cereal, slap a video game character on the box, AND THERE YOU GO, VIDEO GAME CEREAL! The Nintendo cereal system was better, it was actually shaped like stuff from the video games.

  • THIS NEEDS TO EXIST TODAY.

  • It was just Capn' Crunch, with barrel-spaced pieces, instead of the "Treasure Chest" shape.

Thanks for the memories! I remember this commerical way back in the day.

PS: This was before Jump-Man got the name Mario, which we all know him as.

  • i bought a unopen box on ebay for 59.99. ate it and gave me the shits for a week. it was worth it though.

  • Did these cereals taste any good?

  • @BluesifulWave looking at the video, probably not lol

  • JAJA mario is old

  • the chick in the red is hot

  • That's the 3rd classic comercial I saw today, and IT WAS EPIC.

    RESPECT the classics,=)

  • there is pacman spaghetti

  • True, but it was more about the fun then

  • this was acually kinda disterbing and its just capin crunch lol

  • wtf, that's just some other ceral with the Donkey Kong name to it.

  • Yeah looks like captain crunch

  • You serious?! O-o;;

  • that cereal would be the coolest cereal i would ever taste in my life even the Nintendo Cereal System cereal!

  • whoa i never knew there was donkey kong ice cream and popsicles

  • This is what Billy Mitchell eats for breakfest...

  • with his special sauce on it!?

  • anyone remember the donkey kong icecream? this yellow icy pole on a stick, covered in orange ice cream, quite nice. i havent had one in a very long time though, im talking early 80's!!

  • Man I wish I had a NES. You know the 64 and the NES are better than what they make today. There's just doesn't have that special Nintendo feeling I always had.

  • All they need now is Howard the Duck cereal and Die Hard cereal and I can die happy =P

  • A chunky porn taste? 0:11

  • Definitely barrels of fun for breakfast.

  • maro had something but I can't really remember. Damn oh yeah it's macaroni I just remembered XD

  • Bowser cereal would have Bowser and all kinds of his minions.

  • this is what we would eat everyday if nintendo ruled the world. barrel throwing gorilla flakes, that's whats for breakfast.

  • and wouldn't it be awesome

  • 'Barrel-throwing Gorilla Flakes' sounds awesome.

  • Well, this and boxes of cereal themed to Mario and Zelda

  • That's funny :)

  • Soooooo....

    It's Corn Pops.

  • more fun than a barrel of monkeys XD

  • I remember this cereal as being the same as Captain Crunch. What was better was Donkey Kong Jr cereal! Why can't they bring it back?

  • now the way to prove how awesome a video game is, is from the mercandise i don't see sonic having his own cereal wait DID sonic have his own cereal?

  • When was this commercial from? I don't remember see this ad on T.V.

  • This was from the early 1980's when these cheesey arcade games were a hit.

  • Ok thanks, I was just curious.

  • imagine halo 3 cereal:-))))))

  • Lol that would be funny

  • @omomon no fuck off

  • i renmeber this cereal. it tasted like capn crunch..funny to see that it was made by the puppy chow peeople...

  • @lujan330 What does Cap'n Crunch taste like then? I mean, they don't exist in Oz unless you go to some U.S. specialty store.

  • @lujan330 I thought it taste like dog food... dog food cereal LOL

  • this is just cap'n crunch with DK on it

  • I bet it is. They'd make a cereal out of anything using an existing cereal just to make sure kids get they're vitamins and nutrients by eating video game characters and not blatant copies of where the cereal came from.

  • They could have done Elephant Man cereal or Napalm Death cereal or even Hitler o's, don't you think so

  • Wouldn't surprise me. Just slap a VG character on a box of Cheerios and there you go: VIDEO GAME CEREAL! Don't get me wrong, I like video games, but video game cereal is just another way to make a quick buck.

  • What would the cereal pieces for the Elephant Man cereal and Napalm Death cereal look like?

  • Is that James Earl Jones with the voiceover?

  • Damn, what didn't they make a cereal for back then?

  • A cerial out of myself,lol.^_^

  • I've never tasted ass. But if memory serves me correct ... I would imagine that this was what ass would taste like.

  • Guaranteed to bring the battle right onto your kitchen table.

  • poor mario bein with those kids

  • Best Cereal Ever.

  • INCORRECT.

Ninja Turtles was the best cereal ever. I doubt this stuff would even rank in the top twenty.

  • monkey flavored cereal.lol

  • Oh WOW! I remember that I was kid in 80s. I had kept that empty cereal box then later I threw it away when I was older. I was stupid. I should not throw it away! = (

  • Eat dog food. I'll show it to Nestle to reveal the secrets of that company now owned by Nestle.

  • Ballin'

  • Oh man i cant get enough of this!

    0:17

  • oh my god.....................

  • ROFL!!!
