Am I being too harsh in thinking his family should have just had a quiet funeral instead of a hero’s ceremony on public space?

Anyone think you need a different kind of license to drive a huge truck? Had it been a smaller car, she probably would have survived. So many people are killed in collisions simply because it was a sedan vs a truck or suv.

FYI if the guy who hit her had been going even close to the speed limit, she possibly could have survived. as for the side airbags, she was t-boned on the driver's side. A whole lot of help they would have given her. Being a friend of Audie's, I can't believe some of the things you all have said. You have no right in Hell to be rude or disrespectful.
