  • I am new to this so forgive my ignorance. Can you pokesav pokemon on to the actual real games or only on to roms?

  • enter your text here

  • doom desire uses the user´s original sp atk against the original sp def of the target. Plus, doom desire doesnt have stab and relies by only 8 pp, Calm mind just boost sp def, so in this case, cosmic power is a better option. Even so, the set will never work as you may think it would.

  • This is too much like the Calm Mind and Sub set.

It's not terrible I guess but it's a bit mediocre.

A more original Jirachi set would eb this:

    Jolly 252 Speed EV's, 252 Attack EV's, and 6 HP EV's

Zen Headbutt, Iron Head, Thunder Wave, Refresh/Wish.

It's not great but it's a bit more effective than this particualr set.

    Good try though.

  • @narcl How is that original, paraflinch is one of the most common jirachi set seen, you just added another less accurate flinch move

  • @SuperAjmon Para flich isn't used nearly as much as used to be, first of all. Second i meant to say it would be a more effective. Thirdly I've never seen a Jirachi with Refresh. Lastly this set's EV's aren't the standard paraflinch it set like a sweeper while paraflinch are more bulky (at least the effective ones).

  • @narcl ok, sorry, my bad, didn't pay close enough attention to the Ev's, and refresh is cool and all, but I don't see too much use for it, since jirachi can't be toxiced, and if it gets paralyzed, if both pokemon are paralyzed, jirachi will still usually be faster.

On a vid related note, this moveset is awesome, It may be unconventional, but it's not useless like other SO pokemon, and the guy I was battling didn't even know what doom desire was. xP

  • u should demostrate your jirachi in a battle, to workk with that jirachi would be VERY hard man.... as soon youll be STRUGGLING.

  • @palpark007 Umm...I have...plenty of times :P Check out my battle video that says "Feat SO Jirachi". It's here somewhere, I know.

  • so lame

  • the only problem with this set is that Doom Desire can only have a max of 8pp

  • probably the best SO TIER pokemon i've ever seen!!!

  • Im using this set in my next battle ill send it to you when the battle is up.

  • i thought doom desire was steel type?

  • @MEEP012 It's classified as Steel type. But when it hits, it hits anyone.

  • @PKSparkxx

    oh okay

btw i've been testing out your peter pan and its really good :)

  • Also, this works good only in stalling teams, so you need blissey, scarf t tar, etc. LOL .xD

  • @TheVoltageBobby Sandstorm is prevailent(sp) in OU, but I will NEVER use a blissey. DX

  • @PKSparkxx Oh yeah, you hate pink...Try... :o..... Golem? or....Anything stally. :o.

  • i think it would take hits better with hp ev's

  • Also in so tier u can't use ou...u should have researched so tier b4 doing a vid on.....

  • @Flamerrin Well it's still and SO twist to a usually generic Pokemon, that you can't deny. Well...you can...but you'd be wrong :P

  • Dude so stands for superior originality not so original lul xenon made the tier

  • About the evs, a spread of 244 hp, 136 defense, and 128 sp attack with bold nature gives you the exact same special bulk and more physical bulk.

  • I watched your video, i thought about it, and now I reaallly want to use it. All there is to say. Thanks PKS! :D

  • @damindfreak If you want a demonstration of it, watch my latest battle video, I used it.

  • what about cosmic power instead of calm mind?

and using 252 in def and 18 en hp, 128 in sp def

so it can resist any non-critical hit move and still doing good with

    doom desire...

  • @kokalombia NO, because then the standard Calm Minder would just come in and wall it. And Calm Minders are common in OU. This set is to make it so they are even a threat, either. You're suggestions basically changed up the whole strategy of my Jirachi.

  • @PKSparkxx i know it change it... but actually you get to wall any non roarer pkmn and even if you see a pokemon able to learn roar, you can always protect and leave one doom desire in play the next turn... and in OU environment people just use a max of one roar and lots of fire/ground moves, i get your point, i just think my point is also good in competitive gameplay :)

  • ....SO tier stands for super original... and technically in SO means no moves on smogon, but still a very original set, and i always thought it was really stupid how no1 took advantage of jirachis high defenses

  • Serebii says that doom desire is a steel move

  • @DarkPorygon2 It is classified as a steel type move. But when it hits, it hits neutrally, no super effective or not very effective. Just normal.

  • @PKSparkxx oh ok

  • whats SO tier?

  • Seems like a good set, but 8 pp is kind of low for your only attacking move. It also would probably have trouble against anything with roar.

  • @thepiebetrayer ...which is why I said that it is a mid-late game Pokemon, once you have scoped your opponents team and you take out any potential threats. Also, 8PP is plenty if you bring it out when your opponent has 3< Pokemon, hence the Mid-Late Game switch in again.

  • @PKSparkxx Touche. However, I still think that with its stally feel that 8 pp is kind of low, but it still is a good set nevertheless.

  • Nice moveset. I would recommend taking the 128 EVs in SpD and putting them in Hp though. With Calm Mind, there is no need for SpD EVs.

  • I always liked this set :D

    Hmm...

maybe I can fuck up my friend with taht one xD

  • No evs in HP? :s

  • @TheVoltageBobby Nope. You want to keep up your defense. With Protect, Wish and Lefties, you won't need the extra investments in HP and will want to focus more on getting Doom Desire activated with enough power while u stall for time.

  • I'm sorry PKSparkxx, but you've just conformed as a collectivist in my eyes... Why did you have to copy everyone else? I'm sure you could have uploaded this move set without claiming it as an 'SO' set. SO sets in general are terrible.

On the matter of the set, it's good. I like Doom Desire Jirachi with Duel Screen support. Reflect is especially useful because it allows Jirachi to take physical ground/fire moves.

  • @Kozoi LMAO! Well I saiiid I was conforming :P I probably could have, but I figured I might as well follow the goat instead of looking for my own patch of grass. Besides...tagging SO in it makes it easier to find :D

Moveset wise, DDRachi is really epic. Even if it is expected, unless your opponent has the right counter to it (Banded or Orb'd Infernape, Tricking a choice onto it), it's very difficult to stop.

  • i use doom desire! modest, max sp attack and hps. psychic, doom desire, charge beam and wish. with leftovers also 31 IVs in def

  • you dont understand the meme at all srsly

  • @TeaSpoonz617 No, I noticed how some made idiot movesets. But there were some out there who actually make real movesets. So I say this to you: If you don't like, then don't comment. I'll do it my way.
