Nice choice at the end with the navy/black blazer and the charcoal pants, that's a classic combo that works so well for so many occasions.

As a somewhat larger framed person myself, I have found that internet shopping has been a godsend for getting properly sized stuff, especially custom shirts. Finally, bang on with the rise in the trousers, too many people wear pants with too low (leading to plumberbutt or bigbelly syndrome) - wearing your pants on your natural waist is the best way to go.

As a bigger guy, I would also recommend wearing cardigans & vests to hide the belly. I know it's very hard to find my own clothing in stores, that being since I am both short & fat, it takes a lot OF TIME. But this was reallly a goood video Aaron, great job!

Aaron, thank you for making this video. However, I think, on this valiant quest you were on to help bigger men dress well, you just ran into the biggest problem in men's fashion which is the lack of clothes for bigger men. Sure the're are big and tall places but their options are so minimal and not all of them fit every body size. Also, some of the fashion is kind of horrendous. I think it's unfair you have fairly nice, fashionable, places for women, like Lane Bryant, but none for men.

I'm about 14 pounds over the weight I want to be, and maybe 7 or 8 pounds overweight, and this was really helpful.

But I usually don't wear fancy clothes, and when I do I try to keep it casual, as I feel more comfortable that way, but I personally found long-sleeve t-shirts better than short-sleeved ones.

I also found converse trainers to be unwise because they're long and thin. Unless you're wearing trousers that are not skinny at the ankle in any way, they should be avoided.

Good idea, but the only problem with it is that you can't just go out and buy big clothes, because they will make a slim person look even slimmer and like a little kid in really baggy clothes. The same principle pretty much applies to slim people as it does to big people and that is that you want clothes that fit you. A fitted shirt or suit is going to make your shoulders and chest appear wider.

@ggdeibiza Lots of cobblers (shoe repair, etc) can cut your belt down to size and make it look fairly natural. Call up a local shoe repair/cleaner (or even some dry cleaners and tailors) and ask if they do belts. It usually costs about the same as a cheap belt, but if the belt cost that much then it's worth it to make it look great without buying a new one in your new size.

I do remember saying how difficult it was buying clothes over in England for the larger man, compared i guess to America, Ebay has been a help at times but the quality of the clothing is obviously less than that of retail outlets, but it's either that or paying over the odds.

Aaron, I recently lost 100 lbs. My belt size used to be Equator, but now I'm down to a respectable 32. Thing is, I have drilled holes in my tan belt to accodomate the weight loss. It was a rather pricey belt, and I'm quite fond of it. I can cover up the holes if I layer the bottom end of my shirt/sweater on top it, but unless I'm very careful, people will notice the extra holes. Is it really that hideous?
