P.S. Can't understand why anyone is having a problem with this fix. Maybe they didn't get to the repair console. Assuming there wasn't a hard disk crash, typing a few commands returns the computer to exactly where is was before the problem occurred.

Will it work if I place the blank floppy disks onto a flash drive, then connect the flash drive into my computer that has this problem? Becuase when I get this problem, I cant acces my computer, thus not allowing me to download the blank floppy disks onto my hard drive directly. Will it work if i did that? I got the NTLDR is missing-error. I don't has my Windows XP-disc anymore, but I just downloaded one from the internet and burned it on a DVD. Does it matter if I burn it on a DVD or do I have to burn it on a CD(which does't work, it says the file is too big).

Wells my eror started when my cpu started to become laggy, so i used this acer program to format my hard drive to factory default. Then i waited about 3mins, it started to restore some files.. Then at around 10%.. it said some sort of eror,and push any key to reboot cpu. There wasn't any buttons else.. So i did.. 'm sure you've heard this plenty of times already, but Thanks Loads for your help! A really important consideration, is that you thoughtfully had LARGE onscreen text to follow along with, because the only other computer that I had to research the "NTLDR is missing" problem on, only operates in Safe Mode, which often disables the audio. Another issue, is that in copying over the two files, they got compressed, and I then received a "NTLDR is compressed" error upon booting again. {continued}
@phoenixx100 - {continued} - Anyway, I had to then use the XP disks, entering 'R' once again, and then use the ATTRIB -C command on the two files that had been copied over previously, to remove the disk compression (which I have set on the hard drive by default, and probably effected the two files that had just been copied over. Viola! Problem solved. Once again, thank you so very, very much, man. This is great karma for you; I'm sure it serves you well to be so kind an helpful! ^__^

I got the NTLDR is missing-error. I don't has my Windows XP-disc anymore, but I just downloaded one from the internet and burned it on a DVD. Does it matter if I burn it on a DVD or do I have to burn it on a CD(which does't work, it says the file is too big).

If you find a place where i can download a Windows XP Home Edition Bootable CD, can you help me out? Because.. my cpu is an Acer Aspire One..Which doesn't have a disc drive.. Can i use a USB Disc Drive and launch it from there??

Wells my eror started when my cpu started to become laggy, so i used this acer program to format my hard drive to factory default. Then i waited about 3mins, it started to restore some files.. Then at around 10%.. it said some sort of eror,and push any key to reboot cpu. There wasn't any buttons else.. So i did.. Then when it starts up.. it says NTLDR is missing Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart. What i'm trying to ask here is.. do i have to use a floppy disc to install any windows bootable cd??

Heres what happened...The computer kept on rebooting. So I used a working pc to format the hard drive. Then when I tried to boot it up on my pc, I get ...NTLDR is missing. I tried going into the BIOS to load my O.S. but I get a FAILURE message. I also tried with my A drive and I got DISK I/O ERROR. Is there another way through the boot up instead of through WINDOWS? Thanx

I fix my dads comp i use a win xp installer disk theres no option that if i want to repair it , it just if i want to install, format and delete partion i press enter and theres a 6 option i think i choose the very bottom one and its copying a file its look like i reformat the pc but i didnt and after that process the pc reboot and theres a two thing show out on my screen and if i choose the first one its going to install the win xp and when i choose the 2nd it went to the typical way and it fine

'm sure you've heard this plenty of times already, but Thanks Loads for your help! A really important consideration, is that you thoughtfully had LARGE onscreen text to follow along with, because the only other computer that I had to research the "NTLDR is missing" problem on, only operates in Safe Mode, which often disables the audio. Another issue, is that in copying over the two files, they got compressed, and I then received a "NTLDR is compressed" error upon booting again. {continued}

@phoenixx100 - {continued} - Anyway, I had to then use the XP disks, entering 'R' once again, and then use the ATTRIB -C command on the two files that had been copied over previously, to remove the disk compression (which I have set on the hard drive by default, and probably effected the two files that had just been copied over. Viola! Problem solved. Once again, thank you so very, very much, man. This is great karma for you; I'm sure it serves you well to be so kind an helpful! ^__^

yeah i have windows 7 ulitamate i just upgrade my windows 7 home to ulitamate
i downloaded windows xp files onto my usb and when i press f12 and like always it comes up what do i want to boot from and i went down to usb cause it has a little * thing near it and if my usb was not in my pc it would have *hard drive so i press enter for my usb and it comes up with NTLDR missing press any key to restart and i did but that kept coming upim able to get in my windows 7 idk what to do plz help me

I fix it Without that you need to press DEL en then PC Health and then F6
