Unaffordable housing is a serious issue, those on the brink, the almost homeless. The cost of a house is insane, allowing the private market to handle all housing needs has failed. Homelessness is a crisis, homelessness is on the rise, people need homes. People with mental health problems and addictions do much better with a secure bed.

Why does nobody mention the issue of income when it comes to homelessness? The barriers to welfare are such that an applicant literally needs their own advocate to get through all the hoops and barriers. Could it be because it's mainly NDPers who lead the fight against homelessness (and I thank you all) but are afraid of forcing the hand of the possible provincial NDP government in the future? Does make one wonder.
