So I got this mail piece from Blumenthal today, lambasting Stothert on this issue. He would have us believe *she* supports a cost of living hike, without qualification.
Yet, she makes it clear a COL would be a tradeoff for lower base pension. That is, a negotiated solution would result in a cost-neutral COL.
Blumenthal says, and confirms, it is merely a public relations issue, and he would agree to a COL if the political heat was not on.
