not to mention it doesnt cost alot to run a gp2 team, which is very cost effective, imagine putting the current f1 drivers in gp2 in equal machinery and leave them to battle it out, woah i would actually pay to watch something like that lol

@beyblader10171 Gp2 is like the same damn thing, there are top tier teams and then there are the ones that arent so well off just like formula 1. I know this video makes it seem really thrilling but the usual suspects are upfront just like f1.

well..... the top teams adopt different strategies right? but its hard to imagine how their could be such a big lap time difference gain amongst the gp2 teams despite equal machinery, strategy plays an important role in motorsport

Gp2 is my favourite race series by far, i spose with f1 1 being a corrupt political business thats why theres no risk takers, gp2 owns f1, its nice to see real racing!

F1 is good racing. But GP2 drivers take much more risks. They overtake more on the first few laps than a F1 race overtakes in the whole race.

Keep in mind that although risk is probably part of it that the characteristics of the car are also a factor -- i.e. especially the general aerodynamic characteristics of F1 cars, the air left behind an F1 car at full speed is turbulent, unstable and warm (i.e. more so than GP2) -- which upsets the downforce of the car directly behind it, hence the car behind it doesn't feel like exploiting the slipstream as much.

But yes, I prefer GP2 myself.

Depends which channels your country can get, like I'm in the UK I can recieve it on eurosport and Premiere etc, but some countries can't pick up Premiere. If you have a motorised dish though you can probably pick up most sports channels.

Well it IS more exciting. It's only because F1 is top of the tree that everyone watches it. That's the only reason why F1 is better.

Or possibly that's just cos of inexperience.. The cars are slower, but don't have traction control: it's a trade-off, but generally F1 drivers are more seasoned and don't pull any really stupid risks.

These cars are not designed to be "bumper cars" and the drivers strive to not touch each other ... but sometimes "the going gets tough," and as this video shows, it can turn brutal!!! To be able to successfully execute a pit maneuver in an open-wheeled car takes A LOT OF SKILL!!!!!!!!

They're like F1 cars, except that they are a bit slower cos they have less power. They haven't got the aerodynamic aids of F1, which makes them a bit lairier to drive, but makes the action better, but they have more mechanical grip with slick tyres. They're not much slower, no. And far more exciting.
