  • Spot on mate. I never thought of that way of doing it. Thanks for the tip.

  • No the scribe is one part of a kitchen installation kit i designed. This one is pre set for 18 mm Magnet kitchens i also have a full kit designed for Hombase kitchens. The kits are very simple to use and accurate. This is all taken from a pro set i designed over 5 years ago.

  • sort of get it,is that scribe home made and what did you use to cut plinth jigsaw blade?

  • bang on simple benny now you can make one .

  • You plant the plinth on top of the bottom shelf so is the scribe tool plinth width plus carcass 18mm then minus 3mm,so what i am saying is the scibe tool wider than the plinth itself?

  • Hi Benny No just parallel .This is simple maths calculation also the plinth needs to be longer and pass beyond the corner post for the return plinth which i did not have at the time. It’s the easiest way we have found and when we do not use the method the job takes longer on uneven floors it’s as near is i can get to a right first time fit . Remember to reseal all trimmed edges. Sorry if i cannot explain this better Benny you would get it in a second if i was showing you one to one.

  • I dont get how this works ,wouldnt the bottom of the plinth have to be in line with the bottom of the carcass before you scribed ,not raised above the carcass bottom.,a bit like your infill panel video?

  • Unika plinth lock will keep the plinths joints looking snug for years. Developed by fitters with the Wright first time approach.
