  • I still do not understand why scientists can't just fire a missile or drop a big bomb into one of these things and dissipate it.

    Because any bomb big enough to dissipate a tornado would probably cause more damage than the tornado.

    Also, just being in the right place at the right time for a tornado is hit-and-miss.

  • i work at HyVee in grand Island, and we saw the first one near cairo touch down for about 5-10 minutes, though, soon after the sirens sounded we had to head back to the coolers in the back of the store
