Congratulations on your graduation! Sotsugyou omedetou! (or Congraduation! Omede-gyou! if you're in a hurry). Ich gratuliere Dir ganz herzlich (whole-hearted congrats). You've worked very hard, and with the added stress of living in a foreign country.

Alles Gute, Kitty-san. You'll continue to do great things.

  • Thanks a lot, I always could learn something from your informative comments :D

  • congratulations!!!

  • TAKOYAKIIII yum yummm!!!

  • This looks like quite a fun time! I've been wanting to travel to Japan for quite some time now...this Really makes me want to go!

Too bad I don't know the language very much at all! (^_^)

Great vid Kitty...have a great time back home in Indonesia!

  • OK, wait. In the middle of all these beautiful pictures, there's one of you standing in front of a loo. Ha! What's up with that?

  • hahaha.. so u noticed that? :P If you've seen my other older videos, I always have something to say or to show about the loo. I have this weird fascination. hahahhaa..

Well um, I was in an indoor food theme park where the settings and displays were made so that we feel in the older time of osaka, but when I entered the loo, the settings changed back to the modern time. And I took a pic of it. ^^

  • Restroom pictures are Kitty's trademark. Seriously (well, not very), they do make appearances in her other travel videos.

  • What language is that song?

  • Indonesian language

  • Please come to Japan,again!

  • I will! ^^

  • can some one explain the women only thing?

  • It's the train. Written on the platform and on the carriage itself. At rush hours, the carriage is only for women. There used to be some groping issues and other accidents when men and women were jammed in the same carriage. With this 'women only' carriage, there's less problem. =) I rather enter that one at all time when I can.

  • OH! ok thanks! i thought that was it but i really wasnt sure....

  • it looked like a very laid back day.

    Congrats on graduating.

  • it was indeed. :) Thanks!

  • PS: Ibu sudah bisa bicara bahasa Jerman? ;)

  • Belum bisa.. =( Sulit sekali

  • Wow so many great photos! :) You look very good and happy - nice. :)

What will you do in Indonesia in all the months till September?

  • Thanks :D

I'll work in a school and writting a book to be published with my mom, 2 days a week. And I'm looking for a german course for 3 days a week. =) wish me luck!

  • What's Japan's attitude toward Muslims?

  • They generally acknowledge it as "that foreigner thing". A muslim Japanese might have hard times in the society coz it's very uncommon, but if you're a foreigner, you should have no major problem. As long as you explain your needs as a muslim, they'll understand and let us pray, fast, and not drinking for example.

  • Ahh, thanks for telling me. I'm not a Muslim but I've heard that Japanese people are a very homogenous society that don't accept a lot of foreign influences.

  • no problem. They are very reluctant to differences, but they are very polite and respect others in general :)

  • I have a question. It may sound really stupid ahaha and I feel stupid asking but... What does OSAKA mean? Cause in the States we have Japanese Steakhouses where they cook the food at your table and they are named OSAKA.

    :) - Shavonne

  • From Wikipedia: Osaka is traditionally considered the "nation's kitchen" (天下の台所, tenka no daidokoro?) or the gourmet food capital of Japan.

And that Osaka is one of the biggest cities of Japan should be general knowledge...

  • Adding to itekisan's answer, "Osaka" and "Benihana" restaurants are "teppanyaki" (grilled in front of you). Osaka city has okonomiyaki (crepe) restaurants like that, but I never saw "Osaka" type of restaurants there.

Osaka is Japan's third largest city, after Tokyo and Yokohama (with Nagoya a close fourth). It's the comedy capital of Japan, and for centuries it was the center of commerce (but business became centralized in Tokyo in the second half of the 20th century).

  • Sorry, had a blonde moment. Right after I had typed it and posted it I remembered. I guess that happens when you've had 3 brain surgeries 3yrs prier. Sometimes I have problems with my memory or it takes me a min.

    :) my bad Shavonne

  • i love the japan culture, i wish i can go one day

  • who is the girl wearing the white scarf and brown coat ......she is so beautiful can i get to know her ?

  • she was one of my house mates. She watches my vids occasionally, so who knows she might read ur post. ;)
