Love this! Added it to my eclectic mix of violin favorites, ranging from bluegrass to blues, heavy metal to Polish reggae, and some more genres you've probably never imagined. Check them out at my YouTube channel by clicking on the blue link below to the left.
Wow-gotta love this music! I love Active, good, energetic kind of stuff! Please upload more of these videos with that kind of music!!! :) You know we all want it!!!
Hey man, this is Andrew who you met in Portland last week, I was doing some street playing...
I love this music. I'm not usually a fan of fiddle music but it has this strange fusion edge, especially with that vi chord in there. I'm gonna go watch and learn some more on your channel :)
I learned to hold my bow from Darol. My teacher had been trying to explain it to me for months. Then in a workshop at a fiddle contest, Darol explained it and suddenly it all made sense. I jumped up and left in the middle of the workshop to go try it out.
Darol, if you read these things, I always wanted to tell you that. Sometimes people can walk out on you, not because you're failing to reach them, but because they totally get it and can't wait to go try it!
I didnt walk out of my workshop but went home and practiced the rhythm and chop fusion for 6 hours a day until I could play every bluegrass song for my Alternative Strings group to a T. I went from barely getting by in my first year of non classical music edu to helping mentor younger students in about a month after on workshop with TISQ! They are all very talented and inspiring musicians.
I'm jealous Violinfidleman - the best I've done is say hi to him on Tyler Andal's Cell phone at a fiddle contest. I would really like to meet Darol. I have been listening to his music for years.
I am in love with that lovely lady to the left.

Heck yeah, Tristan Clarridge on the cello! He's a badass. But then, so is Brittany, and Darol, and all of 'em. Good stuff.
