Ha ha I love how humorless some people are in their comments. Personally I think the video's title is its downfall. If you had called it "the lighter side of Star Trek" I think people would have responded much better. When you say "funny" they are expecting to laugh. That's hard to accomplish when you delete the dialougue. But I love your choice of music and I think you did a nice tight piece of editing and you conveyed a mood. I enjoyed it!

Hehe, well, that apple happens to be a reference to a scene in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan when he eats an apple while explaining to Saavik that he cheated on the Kobiyashi-Maru scenario during his cadet years and that his original thinking was credited by Starfleet Command.

I think the main thing that bothered me about this movie was the fact that the Enterprise bridge was completely redesigned. And they played around with the back story of some of the characters. The over all plot was good and the movie well cast.

Well ya that's because when Nero came back in time and destroyed the USS Kelvin, Starfleet had to step up in all departments and research more than in the orginal series. That meant many of the ship designs had to be redone and the characters were affected by the alternate reality created by Nero's appearence.

Ok, THIS is why these scenes are funny: #1: The fact that he had to be injected with a desease to get aboard, and now the plan's slowly blowing up in their faces. #2: The dynamic between him and Bones is very funny. That' the joke, not someone dying from an allergic reaction.

My goodness, my mom may get very ill or die if she's stung by a bee. Does that mean I flip when I see Kirk's hands blow up? No.
