@JustInCase308 Actually, colt got the contract AFTER Armalite passed on the contract. Big mistake on their part. The Military wanted something with less recoil. The original rifle was designed as an .308(AR10), the military made requested changes, and the AR15 was developed. So Colt is actually just a copy also. Peace out.

FWIW as much of a fan as I am of instructional DVDs.. some info can be less good than intended. There is a reason why a real armors course takes 8 hours. I know it's elitist to say that, but condensed info is abbreviated and could result in giving a 'student' a greater sense of awareness than is actually the case.

For a range gun, no big deal, but for a self defense gun?

I know a lot of people who don't want to be armorers, so a simple take down and general info is all they are looking for

I watched all of the videos from their website, the only ones that were worth watching was travis haley,pistol and carbine, And the armorer, and tactical shotgun. But for $18 i can't bitch to much

"No piston info"... well, that's because there's no standard piston system for an AR so you have a whole bunch of proprietary systems which modify your upper/bolt/buffer to various degrees and that means his video would be 10 hours long. It's easier to make a video for a particular piston AR-like rifle.
