2. The John Jay Criminal College- a non religious affiliated college, came to the conclusion that that 80% of the abuse were not one of paedophilia, although it can still be classed as child molestation. The majority of the abuses were carried out by men with same sex attraction on developed boys.
3. None of this is shocking as researchers estimate as much as 50% of Catholic clergy to be homosexual, and it is well known that youth is idolised amongst gay male circles.
4. The sexual preference of priests DO matter. When 80% of the child abuse is being perpetrated by men of one sexual orientation, in particular when the Catholic Church has called it Intrinsically disordered, then steps can (and have) been taken to remove these priests so they are no longer a danger to boys.
5. The media is not going to report any of this, as we all know that the media hates the Catholic Church and loves to portray homosexuals as perpetual victims who can do no wrong. Not to mention that it would weaken the case for gay males to adopt children, in particular young males.

The speaker neglects to mention that some scholars interpret the parable of the Prodigal Son as a commentary on gay identity. Whether or not this could hold water from the point of view of biblical scholarship, certainly writers who have mentioned it mean not so much a return from gay identity per se as from a putatively sinful state, i.e. the extremes or perhaps perversions of such an identity caused by hypocrisy and oppression as expressed in promiscuity

Estimates for the number of homosexuals in the priesthood are even as high as * 50% *, according to research.
