I am amazed that a very old Italian tune - La Mantovana - evolved and morphed into so many other forms ... becoming a Romanian folk song "Cucuruz cu frunza-n sus", a theme in Smetana's "Die Moldau", and the Israeli National Anthem "HaTikva."
