I would seriously hope Children of the Damned is never remade like this film was stupidly remade, and also the remake of this is crap and bosh. I can see remaking Children of the Damned the sequel to this film been just as crap or even worse I say don't fix what is not broken.
I think in my own personal view, this fim is not as good as the Sequel called Children of the Damned with Ian Hendry and Alan Badel in as the Gordon Zellabys of that story. I am surprised that Gordons wife Anthea who survived, after witnessing Gordon blow himself and the children up with a bomb in the house did not reapper in Children of the Damned to tell the people in that film what her husband did to himself and the colony of children in Midwich. I liked Children of the Damned, much better.
!:55 Why warn him? Why not kill him since they are already a bunch of natural born killers.2:51 Attracted too much attention?! Didnt I say it wasnt wise for them to use their powers in front of people?
@antitum I am interested in whether you have ever seen Children of the Damned the sequel. to this film COTD came out three years later, than this film also I preferred COTD to VOTD. I absolutely hated the remake of VOTD, and I could not see the point of remaking VOTD. I would also say leave COTD well alone it is perfectly good the way it is, I can imagine of COTD was ever remade it would be just as bad as the remake of this film. This remake of this film, was a total waste, of time and money.
the same thing happened in our village and a few years later a new breed arrived, they were called chav's

What beautiful acting. He manages to convey fear and hope and love all in one simple look.

Geez! Why couldn't they just leave a bunch of Vulcans in the town instead. They are emotionless too but they don't go on killing sprees.

@antitum
The reason the kids are so obsessed with surviving, is because they're part human.
I do believe the aliens were just intelligent and emotionless, but combined with us the kids came out as "cold-blooded killers".
But are the kids evil?
Well...I would suppose they could fall into that catagory... if "evil" means "destructive, self-centered, murderous little bitches".

Well, it sounds like it could be a snippet from "Lullaby of Birdland" (1952), by British composer & pianist George Shearing.
