It sounds like another case where the "mother" cared more about her boyfriend/husband (who isn't the child's father) than she does about her child. I'm a single mother and could never imagine putting a boyfriend ahead of my child. It blows my mind that any mothe rcould care more about herself than her own child's safety and well-being.

I have seen other clips on this story and the mother was loving and caring, the grandmother was the problems/causes of the abuse and broken bones this little girl received. AThe tradegy of this little girls life ending was horrible and the person who took her life should be the one to blame here. I am not being favourable to one side or the other I live in Australia and dont know the family but have read alot on this case and the story is pretty clear to me. The Mum was not at fault here.

The autopsy examiner at raye dawns trial said:
"I did not see any evidence of an old injury that recently decided to open up, which means the injuries had to have happened within minutes or hours, not days. With the
exception of one injury to the abdomen, all of the injuries were recent."

If Raye Dawn is not lying about the timeline of the day of Kelsey's death, according to the medical examiner, she would have been laying next to Kelsey in the bed AFTER the fatal blow was afflicted to her little body. A tear to the pancreas takes time to kill.
Many believe that it was in fact Raye Dawn that killed her, but there is no way of knowing for sure.

It sounds like another case where the "mother" cared more about her boyfriend/husband (who isn't the child's father) than she does about her child. I do not care what anyone says, it was the mothers fault. She may not have hit the child but she did nothing about it when it was happening. She seen the bruises on her baby. I have seen other clips on this story and the mother was loving and caring, the grandmother was the problems/causes of the abuse and broken bones this little girl received. AThe tradegy of this little girls life ending was horrible and the person who took her life should be the one to blame here. I am not being favourable to one side or the other I live in Australia and dont know the family but have read alot on this case and the story is pretty clear to me. The Mum was not at fault here.

so.. this video intrigued me.. and after a little bit of research I came across Raye Dawn's (kelsey's mother) trial transcripts. This woman is NOT guilty!
The autopsy examiner at raye dawns trial said:
"I did not see any evidence of an old injury that recently decided to open up, which means the injuries had to have happened within minutes or hours, not days. With the
exception of one injury to the abdomen, all of the injuries were recent."

If Raye Dawn is not lying about the timeline of the day of Kelsey's death, according to the medical examiner, she would have been laying next to Kelsey in the bed AFTER the fatal blow was afflicted to her little body. A tear to the pancreas takes time to kill.
Many believe that it was in fact Raye Dawn that killed her, but there is no way of knowing for sure.

My heart breaks for this beautiful child and her daddy and all those that loved her and wanted to protect her. She looks so happy when she's with her daddy. I will never understand these women that put any man before their child. This horrible excuse for a mother didn't know how lucky she was to have such a precious gift. Her poor daddy. It truely was not fair what happened to Kelsey.
The main bruise on Kelsey's face on the pictures from August was there before the accident.A CPS workers visited the house earlier in the day and saw the bruise.The CPS worker said that the family including Raye said Kelsey had pulled down a lamp on herself.Only after Kelsey's death did Raye admit she wasn't even there when it happened.
