Don't get me wrong, I like Dilla as much as the next man, but some of ya'll need to stop dick ridin' & give credit where credit is due. Milk Money is "genius?" Really?? Dilla was a fantastic producer no doubt, but he didn't arrange the layering of the harmonies, chord progressions, etc. That was ALL Kenny's doing. All Dilla did was cut this to a beat.
In this particular instance, Kenny Loggins is the genius.

@PhireMadeFlesh Yea the dick riding is out of hand. I guess a big part of the reason is that people were REALLY sleeping on him before he died. I don't know how many of yall followed dilla in the early years but he used to get shit on constantly by hip hop heads. Then he dies and people realize his enormous back catalog of heart stopping beats...people needa relax tho. take Que D's advice
@PhireMadeFlesh ... Not to be condescending but honestly I think you miss a lot of the point in your opinion of J Dilla and his music. For one thing, a shitload of people never would have payed attention to this song if Dilla hadn't sampled it. His work has reintroduced thousands of hours of material that would have otherwise been forgotten, alot of great music that people might have over looked. ALSO. .....
@neffone77 ....... the fact that he finds these short but amazing glimpses of the material, brief segments that become new compositions, beautiful little moments that get stretched out into shit that touches people, well my man if that's not your idea of genius then you must have a crazy high standard and I would be interested to know how you define it.

Is it just me or does this track sound WAY too busy?
The feeling like when you hear two songs overlapping each other but you're not really sure of it right away.

I know "mr night" was in the movie too. I always loved this song. I hated caddyshack but I would watch the intro just to hear the opening.

@PhireMadeFlesh "All Dilla did was cut this to a beat" shows how much you know about music production right there. Ignorant.
