i want to get this pedal but my amp doesnt have an effects loop and i dont use a distortion pedal i just use my amp's distortion. wat should i do??? get a distortion pedal first then get or this???

Well.... Since all of the scales in western music are basicly just one scale, Yes! Minor and Major setting is a slap in the face cause Cmajor is of course the same as Aminor and the Pentatonic are the same, just with less notes. If tried the bycanthinian scale and it sounded allright...

Ps-5 should always after the disto in the Chain. So never place PS-5 before AMP disto. So solution is to use PS-5 in the AMP loop if your amp have a effect loop.

Be sure to place the PS-5 the fist in the AMP loop. Loop Send -> PS-5 -> pedals -> LOOP return.

If you have no effect loop on your AMP, you can not use disto of the AMP because Disto should always before the PS-5 in your chain.

In this case use a separate disto pedal first then the PS-5.

Guitar - > disto -> ps-5 -> AMP.

No, it's not normal at all. please check that the first knop is set to the midde position and try again. Try alos to put your guitar directly to the input of the pedal and the output of the pedal to the Amp.

It shouls works like this.

Hello,

The delay parameter is only applicable for detune mode, neither for harmonist neither pitch shifer mode.

Pitch sifter add a desired interval to the note you are playing. This is like a simple note translation.

Harmoniser add a note but the note will still part of the key you are playing!

in boss gt series the harmonizer has a parameter named "delay time" or "predelay"

wich allow you to set when the harmony sounds after you play the original note

and the goes from 0 - 300 milliseconds

thats awezome, because makes the harmony perfect and is more real play something for example after 100 milliseconds latter and not at the exactly same same, thats sounds more like real harmony

For using the Harmonizer mode : You have to select the Key where you're playing wiht the KEY knob.

If you want to change your tonality during a song... you have to change the KEY knob position...

Yes it is. Even though he is moving all over the fingerboard, he is using a specific scale, so the notes in that scale all relate to the root note or key.

My harmonizer will do Major 3rd or Minor 3rd. It doesn't adjust it to fit in key... Pretty neat pedal man. So what happens if you hit say a C#? What tone would it harmonize with?(in the Aminor key mode)

I've to try this. C# is not in key of C, I presume harmonizer will take C# into account as C or D and add the relevant third. I'll let you know soon. for sure final sound will be bad.

Do you know if it works for a bass? I play with a 6 stringer, so if you could please try it on higher fret of a bass, so I don buy it for nothing. This is exactly what i want but there is no stomp harmonist for basses.

idk about this pedal. But on mine u have to find the relative major and minor keys because it doesnt have spiecifc settings for only minor keys but other than that these things are awesome

If you're doing harmonic minor or hungarian minor- your best bet would be to find a close relative key

Yes, I can be used as an octaver thanks to the pitch shifting mode.

With this mode, you can for instance add a note one or two octaver lower (or hight) to the note you're palying.

With the shifter mode on this pedal, can you play in other tunings? E.g. if my guitar is in Standard tuning, could I set the shifter to get half-step down, and if I played it would sound like I'm playing in Eb?

Shifter is based on the Note frequency. You can use all tuning you want.

Yes, you can pitch shift setp down. but to be honest, sound is really good for single note, not for chords.

I will often play in harmonic minor modes... So let's say I wanted to harmonize to the 3rd using the 5th mode of A harmonic minor, Which is E and a major type mode. Would I use the E major setting on the dial? or can it not track harmonic minor modes.

I do loads of songs need to go from, eg, ACDC to Nickleback but re-tuning is a hassle.

Yes you an get only the shifted signal. You can shift down or up. Note that pith shifter works fine for single note. For chords it's not so good.
