I think now is a buying opp for EUROS and gold. But of course the international bankers could be manipulating the prices. There is just no way to know. But I've really studied currency trading; and I can tell you that on chart this looks like a bear market dip. A buying opp for foreign currencies.

I am sorry if I did not make myself clear. I know of a person who chose to opt out of preventive care. The doctor billed for it anyway. The cost is higher by far for for it because if you are reinbursed by the insurence company and the practitioner bill for the prevenitive care you get far less back.

Good regulation means exactly that. Not the quantity but the quality. For example, the government could change the definition of long term capital gains tax to two years and lower the rate. Also, remove the exclusion on forex and futures from short-term capital gains tax while increasing the short-term rate. This could help to encourage real fixed capital investment in our economy-desperately needed. THe government should be investing in infrastructure not wasting money on banker bailouts.

i don't support the housing bailout at all. if people get foreclosed, let them.
if they can't own a home, they shouldn't agree to own in the beginning. if they had been renting, they wouldn't be in that mess.
my tax dollars don't have a right to be wasted on vain loners that are terrified of getting a roommate or an apartment.

Debt wasn't a problem when we were financing a production infrastructure. When we shifted to consumer debt in the era of Keynesian economics is when debt became a problem.

Not only that but it looks like a "bear market dip" (or you can have a "bull market dip"). It's totally normal. Also on a graph all the technicals were met for a rise in the USD. I think now is a buying opp for EUROS and gold. But of course the international bankers could be manipulating the prices. There is just no way to know. But I've really studied currency trading; and I can tell you that on chart this looks like a bear market dip. A buying opp for foreign currencies.

I also thought about that, since it's just like Monopoly money at this point. Just print it and pay the debt, that is, if it's accepted. However "phase II," (change the currency) is a very tricky thing. They did that in Cuba, at the beginning of Castro's regime, and they told the people to bring their $100 to the bank. If you had $10,000 or a million you had to burn it, or throw it down the toilet. I would only trust Ron Paul with that phase, or someone who knows a lot about the economy.

I am sorry if I did not make myself clear. I know of a person who chose to opt out of preventive care. The doctor billed for it anyway. The cost is higher by far for for it because if you are reinbursed by the insurence company and the practitioner bill for the prevenitive care you get far less back.

We have the modern historical precedent of 1945-1970 where the government did a good job of macroeconomic management, with inflation under 1%. Then the period from 1970-2008 highlighted by market liberalization or "free markets". The private sector replaced our factories with CASINOS and the government allowed this. Ron Paul is dead wrong on this point; we have 4 decades of history to prove it. Sure, downsize government AFTER they've force downsized big business and not a second before.

Good regulation means exactly that. Not the quantity but the quality. For example, the government could change the definition of long term capital gains tax to two years and lower the rate. Also, remove the exclusion on forex and futures from short-term capital gains tax while increasing the short-term rate. This could help to encourage real fixed capital investment in our economy-desperately needed. THe government should be investing in infrastructure not wasting money on banker bailouts.

Didn't you know that in doing that unemployment would skyrocket, further home foreclosures would skyrocket, the # of poor and homeless in this country would skyrocket!! The feds would have all that money & they would every state & local gov't in the country pounding on their door to get a piece.

Short term yes, goverment spending has a short tem boon to economic growth but it stifles in the long term short term pain long term gain cut up fannie and freddie and privitize them

I think they should be privatized, but not without extensive federal restrictions! Very large private companies do things with a collective sense of 'things will get better' when they never do & this is a think-tank type of collective reasoning.
I.E. Enron, WorldCOM, Tyco, ...it's actually a pretty short list. Not that many ppl or companies get as far as these few have and then screw it all up!

Ya, I was thinking the Post Office is one of the better jobs you can have right now, my dad has been working there for 22 years now and makes a great living, talk about job security in a shitty economy. Not only that but it's a union. If I don't find a career from my degree, I have a great fall back at USPS
