well, now dats interesting bcoz it was discovered dat she isnt very skilled in the songwriting department, even in wit old DC: she steals or have ppl write songs 4 her , then she pays.seems 2 me she got away with it n got a grammy.dats y she didnt get an oscar as she wanted so badly, she claimed to have written listen while it wasn't true as usual , the oscar commitee were much more stricter the da grammy's...n no oscar !!!

I love Beyonce, she is beautiful, talented and sexy, but when she said that she wants to be an icon and win an oscar I thought it was kind of stuck up. Normally other people call you an icon and not you. Besides, there are many great actors who have made many more movies than Beyonce and still haven't won an oscar.

I agree with you and I'm a black woman. I have a daughter who looks like Beyonce', she has her complexion, almond eyes, and nice shape. She also has this gliding walk like a model. She walked like that since she was 10 years old and the black girls at school made fun of her walk. I had to convince her that nothing was wrong with her walk and they were just envious of her beauty and grace. I love Beyonce' because she is happy and confident.

OK, I loove beyonce BUT she should travel more.
I am from Central Africa and I think that it's wrong to say that "There is no struggle like the struggle in Africa" is wrong. I know she didn't mean anything by it BUT going to one or three countries in Africa and few orphanages doesn't qualify that you've "seen" the "struggle". Has she been to Vietnam, in Mejico, El Salvador..I mean people suffer just as bad or as worse everywhere else in the world.

For you to even make that comment is the problem with blacks now. It shouldn't even be an issue. All shades of black is beautiful and special. It doesn't matter what shade you are; it's how you carry yourself. Look at Naomi Campbell. She's dark-skinned and absolutely gorgeous but she minimizes it by acting ugly and misrepresenting herself. I think she and Beyonce are a tie in terms of body and looks but Beyonce's also very sweet and she cares about the way she conducts herself. That's beautiful.

Although, I see your point kennisings, I agree w/ ghjhuuuyguyguyg! You mentionned Naomi, I'm a Fashion design student and am A HUGE fan of hers but I was mad about one thing. She never got the huge and lucrative ads with cosmetics, designer brands and goods like Kristy Turlington, Claudia Schiffer or Ms.Evangelista. It may have been her behaviours but STILL other than her she's the only one who's darker other than Alek Wek, Atong Arjok.

If you're truly into Fashion and the modeling world, you should also be aware of the fact that black models are discriminated against PERIOD. Light skinned, medium skinned, and dark skinned. If you've watched their documentaries and read the modeling books, you'll hear them all express what they go through as a black model. Alek Wek's the perfect example. She's gotten some pretty good oportunities and she's very black. I still say attitude has affected things for Naomi. Color's already an issue.

This was a poignant interview. However, Beyonce & her team need to do research before speaking. She'll be the SECOND African-American woman (who wants Tony, Oscar & Grammy) because Whoopi Goldberg has already accomplished these feats. But I admire her ambition. Yes, Whoopie received a Grammy in her comedy - but it was a Grammy none the less - this might be a news to Beyonce but she ain't the first black woman to do everything. She also needs to broaden her vocabulary - she's been all around the world and she still uses adjectives like "strong" to describe her feelings.
