lots of things to blame for this. Parking charges in the streets, while it is free at retail parks. People shopping on-line at cheaper prices with extra convenience. People also like to avoid the busy streets and have it arrived at their doorstep hassle free. However these same people will moan (myself included) that the main/high street shopping is not what it used to be, and that it all being bought over with charity and coffee shops, yet they and adding to the problem.
