Hey slowfourdoor154. I am a member of g8board & grrrr8.net, my screenname is bracketracer on both. Both boards confirm that fastest bone stock GXPs run 12.8 (auto)-12.9(manual). No stock GXP has run faster than 12.81. Typical for them is 13.0-13.1. I only post this to clarify for "non-G8 people." Even those 12.8-12.9 runs are in great weather, great track prep, and EXCELLENT driving. Most GXP racers are not getting those results, and those of us who have do it in spring and fall.
I have to jump in and defend myself a bit. That is me racing my GXP for the first time against my buddy in his '75 TA. I have been racing for alot of years, and have over 1500 1/4 mile passes under my belt. The last 16 years had been racing modified street front wheel drive Pontiacs. The G8 GXP is a whole different beast. With a bit of practice late that fall it ran 12.921@108.89 bone stock, & I have the quickest stock manual trans GXP time on record so far. I guess that isn't crappy,LOL!

@riskistang What do you have done to your jag? Waste of a lot of money to start with lol cuz if you're stock you won't touch me and I'm half the price. Be glad to race ya anytime. Gettin longtubes and midlift cam in a few, maybe do stroke n bore too. 550rwhp def wont touch me then ;op
@riskistang Nope they don't make it anymore which is great for me. Still gonna have GM parts forever, or Holden Commodore SSV parts forever since it's one of the top selling cars of alltime in Australia. No more Pontiac means I already have equity in my G8 and there aren't hundreds of thousands of them all over the streets. Love it, best 4door car ever brought to America

Your S juguar.....lol My SS has a stall and is Auto with tranny tune as well.
6speed auto with a stall is hard to beat especially when i have most of my peak torque as the stall converter flash stall...you do know what that means, my stator is 2.5 its a 3000 lock up

Give me a few months to get my longtube headers, midlift cam, stroke n bore(to 6.6L) new pistons for comp ratio and twin turbo.... hehehehe Then we'll see no contest. Of course I do have a baby coming on the way so might have to wait a bit longer to drop $10k into it but projecting 840rwhp.... Which...... means I'll also need a new torque converter. Damn.... lol Guess I'll do it proj by proj bit by bit. It'll get there
Must be a crappy driver. I did 13.6 with my automatic, stock G8 GT. Now I can do a 12.9 (see siggy) which I attribute more to the TCM tune cuz it will chirp the tires at 2nd and 3rd gear now.

Were you at a high altitude or something???...cuz a 13.6 is nothing to brag about in a GXP unless you're racing way the hell about sea level.
