coming from some1 that has tried playing this whole grieg concerto and still not mastered it , your amazing !! i wish i had the discipline and control u do . What a beautiful piece this really is when played right .
Two comments having just heard this tonight as I was surveying many, many recordings of this (one of my 4 favorite pieces of music) over the past 3 hours...
1) Very very good (you and the orchestra as well!) Not just the head, but the heart.
2) I would love to hear this from you again when you are older and realise that we aren't all in a hurry to leave the concert hall.
So. . . again i feel i must praise you. I simply love this concerto. You do such a great job. When i want to hear Grieg i listen to you or Flisher. Your playing is so full of life and very exciting!! Your Beethoven is nice too!
Very nice. I learned the first movement (15 yrs) and am not too sure I can handle the third so I'm gonna go to some Rachmaninoff/Beethoven and then see about mvt. III
This is one of my most beloved pieces and you played it breathtakingly. I'm trying to learn the Quasi Presto part (That part in F major). You are very talented pianist (and you are far superior to the orchestra, be sure of that...) and as donnie said - keep up the good work!
I am learning this piece right now, I have to say I'm very impressed with your playing. I've listened to a lot of different recordings of this piece, and I like your interpretation better than that of even a lot of the famous pianists. (Some of them have perfect technique but they rush the notes and ruin the music). Thanks for posting this :)
And ignore the comment about the orchestra being superior, it's so obviously wrong.
Not sure about the comment: "The orchestra's performance is great; they are superior to the pianist." I'm about to Start my DMA in piano performance and I can easily say you did a great job. Those out there who try pull you down, or SEARCH for mistakes, are only vultures. You have good technique and you're a musical performer. You look very young, at the time of the performance, how old were/are you? Keep up the good work!
lol that was badass at the end how u stood up fix ur trouser it was like ok fuck give me the next one this was easy lol.

my only criticism of this video is that it does not contain the beginning of the piece :( which is one of my favourite parts :)

Brilliantly played! Everything seemed absolutely fantastic; I have nothing negative to say!
Though I must admit, it would be nice if the cameraman focused more on the orchestra and less on the hall. :)

I wish I could play all those notes, but still sometimes the pianist sacrifices musicality and expression for virtuosism...

The orchestra is not superior to the pianist. That's fact. A young prodigy against the basic school orchestra.

The orchestra's performance is great, they are superior to the pianist.
mehrashk 5 years ago
really? :(
ytkRisS 5 years ago
mehrashk doesn't know what he's talking about. OBVIOUSLY it's the other way around.
artonepiano 3 years ago
@artonepiano It is subjective anyways. We both enjoyed the performance, didn't we?
mehrashk 8 months ago
@ytkRisS : I didn't mean to degrade your talent. There are not so many pianist who can play this piece. You are one of the good ones. Cheers.
mehrashk 8 months ago
@mehrashk This is a fine pianist. I can tell he has done lots of thoughtful practice, and he plays wonderfully, especially for an 18 year old.
tsazar 1 year ago
@tsazar Of course he is. Superiority is a relative thing. It doesn't mean he is not great.
