  • noddy holder,what...a legend, when l was at school l heard his voice on the tranny,,small radio/ and l just knew he was my hero ,his rock vocals totally blew me far far away,,and he also happens to be the salt of the earth,as john lennon would say a real working class hero,,noddy would probably say what a load of crap,, but we know different,,no wonder after bon scotts untimely death ac dc wanted to hire him,,that would have been so right,,

  • I wish Noddy still had the trademark sideburns.

Great group! .I just got the box set...Makes me feel like a teenager again .I'm surprised by the amount of songs I had not heard.Man, They put out a shit load of singles that never appeared on any albums.if you don't have ,BUY IT NOW!

  • Dear JECR:

Thank you for the clip. It was charming.

In such P.C. times of tight political, social and technological surveillance I cherish the memory of Noddy Holder in a top hat and Dave Hill with crazy haircuts just rocking out and being fun and free.

    Best Wishes,

    Dennis H.

  • haha .@ where have you nicked that from lol

  • It's me and my kids!!!

Saw the real Slade loads of times they were fantastic live!

  • In my opinion the great "lost" band of British rock.Should be up there with the best but seen almost as a novelty act.

  • i saw slade in 2003.........and noddy was sorely missed by me ..... i would have loved to see the real slade

  • I ADORE NODDY HOLDER ))))))))

  • i hope i get to meet Noddy one day... i'd like to shake his hand and thank him for all the great memories. The greatest rock singer of all time!

  • i agree with u 100%.

  • Slade was one of the best memories of my early teen life. They were NOT a boring band at all. They performed like a REAL ROCK band !

THANK YOU SLADE & ROCK ON !!!!!!!

  • i love slade and i love noddy

look at that creep glitter , you never hear any stuff aboot noddy

    noddy's a wonderful guy

  • good choice of background song!

  • Noddy Holder is a fantastic guy, he is a really lovely man.Slade were a great band and when did you hear about noddy holder being addicted to drugs or drink and in rehab. I love you Noddy and always will.

  • Noddy Holder thinks he looks like Pete Russell.

  • I think he looks like Michael Caine.

  • as a slade 30+ fan all i can say

Noddy is like good wine become better & better over the years!

so sad he isn't plain' live anymore!

  • You know it is sad that Slade never really made it in Canada. I remember they were scheduled to open for Ozzy on his 1984 BARK AT THE MOON tour but Jim Lea was sick and they were forced to cancel out..

  • *chuckle* bloke...

You Brits are alright. I only wish Slade would be popular over here in the States. What a great band. And you know what: he is always smiling. That's gotta be his greatest asset. I love watching him perform because he's just so darn happy.

  • Nobby's a good man! Crazee mammmmmmmma now, good buy t'jane, and all that. Oh yeah! Where's Jim?

  • He really is a genuine, nice bloke. Unlike most celebs, he's got a sense of humour. Nice one.

  • His book is a dissappointment, though. There seems to be too much input from the ghost writer and the publisher. Nobody from the Black country calls their mother 'Mum' (it's Mom) & to call the local beer - Banks' - would cause a fight in Wolverhampton!! :-(

  • Just stumbled across my own post from a year ago. Amazing I got nearly as many thumbs down as the guy who called Slade 'Shite' because I critisised the ghostwriter! :-o

One example: It is a local colloquialism, a part of the Midlands dialect, not to drop the 'S' after an apostrophy. This is celebrated in the name of the local beer, "Banks's".

You can't change the spelling to Banks' because that is NOT the name of the brewery! That's just bad editing by either the ghostwriter or publisher.

  • What an absolute top bloke!

  • Top chap.

  • you aint got a clue twat. come round here and ill chin you

  • ????????????????

  • You should calm down mate and don't give the prick the pleasure.

  • Slade fucking rock! Now wind your neck in!

  • The greatest rock n roll singer of all time.

His voice is the strongest, most powerful, and yet can be the most sweetest..for want of a better word..GREAT STUFF

  • I totally agree with the legendary voice term. It's great to see Noddy alive and well . Friendly voice? Sounds more like a CRAZY BANSHEE OUT OF HELL THING - which I don't get tired of listening to.

    Noddy forever.

  • JUST AN HEROE? YES!!!!

  • Noddy, legendary voice and front man of the british famous rock band Slade, 'friendly voise imitated' from a very young guy. Noddy gets gentleman, great clip!

  • This guy..... foooookin' legend. Love his work. So real as a person. Not like all the wankball rockstars nowadays.

  • Aww, sweet video, thanks for posting. I am very envious as I have been a fan since I was nine (a darn sight older now) and never managed to meet the great Mr Holder. One day maybe!

  • NODDY HOLDER!!! Good video! I like it :D Funny! :D

  • Brilliant - Lil George - Come on EveryBody

  • Great vid there mate Ed meets Nod.
