  • see that back fire?? hahaha LEGIT!

  • @MrBoostedyota73 yea but 23 psi is crazy to me. If i had 23psi pushed through my cobra i would see stupid hp gains.

  • both cars r badass u got to love that cobras exaust

  • my brothers 96 cobra does that when he shifts too lol, i love these cars. got a '01 gt myself. good race, but if that srt was pushing more boost (my cousin ran 20 psi at all times lol) that cobra would probably lose. i got a love hate thing for them srt4s. i like but i hate that most of them would beat my car lol

  • nice backfire!!

  • There's a reason Ford invented not only the first car, but managed to avoid federal bailout. Alas, a car is just that - a car. Some Stangs are Lemons and some Camaros are Lemons - it's all how you take care of your vehicle in the end. :)

  • @Northwoods92 - Ford didn't invent the first car... Ford is famous for making cars affordable. Henry revolutionized the assembly line to put cars together faster and cheaper. Cadillac was around before Ford, but no one could afford one. Nicolas Joseph Cugnot a Frenchman built the first car ever, but it was steam powered. Gottlieb Daimler and Karl Benz are actually accredited for paving the way for modern cars. Internal Combustion, etc. Karl Benz is the Original Benz of the Merged Mercedes Benz.

  • good video and races!

  • Sorry but whats up with those flames? Is that normal? If so how does it work?

  • dumb question. but i own a 1997 gt and i was wondering what the difference between all non 03-04 cobras and the gt was.

  • @DeSmetownescbc well the biggest difference is that the gts were all 2 valves while the cobras were 4 valves so they pick up alot more power per mod. also the 99 and 01 cobras came with irs's while the gt stayed with the live axle. plus the horsepower difference and little styling differences

  • Cobra FTW!!!

  • lol silly mustangs. I have a 2000 camaro ss 6 speed stock that would rip the little pony in half haha ive had two mustangs and now with my ss i wll never go back to a piece of shit ford and ive had a srt4 which was also slow lol god, kids these days

  • @2000CMaroSS lol where do you live i have a 98 and 04 cobra. pick one and we can go. acutally if you beat the 98 ill let you give it a go at the 04 but theres no way in hell you could beat my 04......lol i have also owns multiple z28's so im not your average ford dickhead

  • god, imagine what an 04 kenne bell would do, lmao

  • i got a cobra with the same mods and i never seen it shot flames why is that?

  • Ive schooled multiple srt4s in my 1997 cobra with just 4:10s and exhaust. full weight

  • You sure whoever tuned your car tuned it..I would think after a tune you wouldn't be gettin flames like that. Unless you had some boost.

  • @08nastygt or he has a hole in his exhaust which causes the un burned fumes in the exhuast to be burned at once when he switches gears. i have the same problem in my 98 cobra..........my catts are loose letting air in

  • @TheBopop No he's just completely catt-less. The catts are what catches the unburned fuel ( very very little) and burns it up before it escapes out the exhaust and into the atmosphere. Since he has no catts and he's WOT, that's where you get the flames.

  • This sick ass Cobra needs a new driver.. It's a performance car man.. You should drive it like you stole it.. I've smashed stage 2's by 2 or 3 cars.. And a stage 1 with full bolt'ons and a 50 shot.. with nothing but a ram air in my rio red 97

  • Nice radar, passport 8500?, i heard laser when when you beeped lol.

  • nice i love the backfire on the cobra

could have shifted into second though sounded like third on the last race

  • Haha my 97 Cobra has the exact same mods except an X-Pipe. It shoots flames too. Love it. Is the Cobra tuned?

Mine only dyno'd 261 rwhp. I seafoamed it since then though and it got a little quicker. I wonder if that helped it. It does have almost 100k on it.

  • No, it's not tuned. It probably had about 103k miles on it when i dynoed the 275, it's got 115k now, and still going strong. Don't expect that seafoam to do anything for you on the dyno though, MAYBE a fraction of a horsepower if you're lucky :P

You could be at a different altitude than me, or your numbers could be SAE. Mine were in STD for some reason, which I think puts me at around 265-270 SAE.

And yes, the flames are awesome :)

  • Idk man. I ran my buddy in his 08 GT and he'd put about half a car on me before the Seafoam. Then I seafoamed it and we were side by side. I think it might've helped it a little bit.

But yeah, love the flames. Haha

  • @scuzzdude2587 What was the weight of the Cobra without the driver? I know my GT weighs 3290 without me in the car and I make 268whp. Just wanting to see what I need to hang with my buddies SRT4 from a roll.

  • @scuzzdude2587 just browsing over this vid again, got full bolt ons on my Cobra now and imrc deletes .. bout to put a clutch in n get it tuned .. hoping for some good numbers :-D

  • holy shit that cobra needs a new driver

  • sick cobra man. nice race

  • nice races, that cobra needs a steeda shifter though.

  • Nice race guys... also, good job posting conditions for both cars!! both cars are sweet!!

  • shift faster!!!!! geeez!!!
