Fighting over labels that have been rendered useless is useless in itself. None of the current labels have maintained definitions. Early 20th century Conservatives were "liberals" and Socialism as a term has lost all meaning and it always had splits. Fighting over labels that have been rendered useless is useless in itself. None of the current labels have maintained definitions. Early 20th century Conservatives were "liberals" and Socialism as a term has lost all meaning and it always had splits. So yes, National Socialism has all the same problems just with the state taking the place of corporations. However, some of us want all powers state and corporations to go and any power legitimize itself through community participation.

RP knows so much more about economics than Bernanke. It's so apparent bernanke doesn't understand free markets. Just look at the housing bubble collapse. Yes prices would have gone down eventually, but that's the market correcting the price. When the FED got involved it inflated the price of houses instead of letting them dip. Turning that down turn into a straight collapse. Then like dominoes the rest of the economy gets hit. Thanks to Fanny-Freddy and Slobbering Barney Frank for that .

The terms fascism and socialism can be used interchangeably. There is not an exact definition of what fascism really is. It initially began with the political movement of Benito Mussolini. If we were to compare the political systems of other so called Fascist states, using the Italian model as an ideal type, we would find that they differ significantly from one another.

An example would be Hitlers national socialist party, which is commonly referred to as a fascist party. The fascist movement in Italy was directed and financed by big capitalist powers, so there is a connection between government and business. There is also a physiological component that goes along with fascism; that of hyper nationalism, which is also prevalent in socialist/communist states as well. I wouldnt be so confident as to say that I know the difference between the two.

Socialism is not just the government bailing out businesses, it's about collective ownership of property, and there's a distinct difference.

when you subsidize social programs you get more people wanting a free hand out! i believe that the money that i make is mine and no one else's! why do i have to pay out 25-30% of my paycheck for people that get a free ride...when i get to the hospital or the dr i have to pay out the ass, while these jackasses that dont have jobs or are illegal get to use my money. FUCK THAT! also the fed is NOT controlled by the gov and there were no financial problems before the fed..only after!

None of Ron Paul's or Kennedy's comments have anything to do with the Fed. Paul brings up publishing the minutes of an organization that has no statutory authority. Kennedy, well, I have no idea what he was trying to say. Maybe he was suggesting that the Fed should take over fiscal policy. If Ron Paul did everything that Kennedy and Paul told him to do, he would... let's see, publish the minutes of a meeting, and... wait, that's it!
