    Secondly, there is absolutely no way he can justify his actions for lowering interest rates. The mandate of full employment is nonsense, and he knows it is.

    Austrian School economists were right and there is a complete epistemological framework to explain why they are right. People owe it to themselves to look into it.

  • Fighting over labels that have been rendered useless is useless in itself. None of the current labels have maintained definitions. Early 20th century Conservatives were "liberals" and Socialism as a term has lost all meaning and it always had splits. So yes, National Socialism has all the same problems just with the state taking the place of corporations. However, some of us want all powers state and corporations to go and any power legitimize itself through community participation.

But he can't win. Repubs/dems have the monopoly. And the electoral college blocks further parties.Corporate media doesn't even allow any other parties to debate.

  • You may find this surprising, but Ron Paul is a Republican (but not a neocon). A lot of people think he is an independent. Out of all the candidates, he's the only one making any sense these days. But don't worry, even if he did get elected, he would be able to effect little change in the big wheel. The President is primarily a figure head. We all know who really makes the rules.

  • Thanks for your comments. As you know I am European and not American. But, Ron Paul is clearly the most honest, sincere, pratical intelligent politician that one can ask for. When he speaks, you know he makes sense, you know he speaks for all of us! I don't support him just because I may like his smile, or that he seems a nice guy, or that I agree with one particular issue that affects me only. I support him because he is not false and owned by corporations and because without him America dies!

If we were to compare the political systems of other so called Fascist states, using the Italian model as an ideal type, we would find that they differ significantly from one another.

The fascist movement in Italy was directed and financed by big capitalist powers, so there is a connection between government and business. There is also a physiological component that goes along with fascism; that of hyper nationalism, which is also prevalent in socialist/communist states as well. I wouldnt be so confident as to say that I know the difference between the two.

    Corporatism is government sponsorship of corporations. E.g. subsidies, specific business dealings, tax relief, etcetera.

    Socialism is not just the government bailing out businesses, it's about collective ownership of property, and there's a distinct difference.
