This site in front of the VAB is located actually 3.2 miles directly west of pad 39A, not 2 miles. No one is as close as 2 miles. And if it was only 2 miles you would have picked up the sound 5-6 seconds sooner than was recorded here since the speed of sound is 1,086 feet per second so about 5 seconds per mile.
